Renting your flat through an agency in Brno?

A new joint ministry statement confirms agency subleases are legally treated as standard leases. You now enjoy full Civil Code protections as a tenant, rendering invalid clauses like blanket pet bans, unlawful fees, and short notice periods.

If you rent your flat through an intermediary agency (in Brno: Ideální nájemce or Ulov Domov, Vitom, Garantovaný nájem, ICB Reality, ChillHills etc.) you are no longer a subtenant.

EU citizens can vote in Brno's municipal elections on 9–10 October.

But there's a step most people miss. If you've never gotten your registration certificate in Brno, you can't vote — and getting the certificate takes the Immigration Office about a month.

That means the real deadline is not October. It's now.

Every 4 years, residents across the CR vote for new representatives at their local town halls. This year, the elections take place on 23-24 September. Foreigners can vote, too.

1. Career Consultant (0.5 FTE | ~20 hrs/week)
Help international professionals navigate the Brno job market, craft practical action plans, and refine their CVs and interview skills.

We’re looking for: Background in HR, recruitment, or career counselling, solid knowledge of local employers, and fluent English (Czech is a plus).

Salary: 25,000 CZK / month gross (starting)

2. Legal Advisor / Lawyer (4–6 hrs/day)
Provide crucial guidance on immigration, labor, and civil law to both international clients and our internal team.

We’re looking for: Master’s degree in Czech Law (Mgr.), practical experience in immigration and labor law, and fluency in both Czech and English.

Salary: 43,500 CZK / month gross (starting)
