🎉 One Week Since LCOY Cyprus 2024! 🌍

It’s hard to believe that just a week ago, we wrapped up our 3rd Local Conference of Youth here in Cyprus! This year, we took a bold step, shifting our focus from policy discussions to hands-on advocacy. Together, we crafted actionable plans to drive change on a local and regional level.

🌱 Our participants delved into three key themes:
1️⃣ Crafting an indigenous variant of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism for Cyprus
2️⃣ Elevating biodiversity as a core component of sustainability
3️⃣ Implementing biodiversity regulations in Cyprus

💡 We also hosted inspiring workshops on Biodiversity and Advocacy, equipping youth with the tools they need to make a tangible impact. With all the valuable input gathered, we’re now working on drafting the Youth Statement, which will be sent to YOUNGO, COY, and eventually COP. Your voices are powerful, and they’re about to be heard on the global stage!

A huge thank you to our organizing team, facilitators, supporters, and especially to all the participants who brought their passion and ideas to the table. Special thanks to UNFICYP, UK in Cyprus - British High Commission Nicosia, British Council Cyprus, and Friends of the Earth Cyprus - Φίλοι της Γης Κύπρου for your continued support. This is just the beginning—let’s continue turning our words into action!
