CitizensACT is an eco-friendly organization that supports civic engagement, participation, access and social inclusion thus promoting sustainable development, social change and innovation. The Covid-19 pandemic has reinforced the need to promote the resilience, the readiness and the capacity of our communities in order to deal with the new challenges of the digital and green transformation. in order to improve their competences, upgrade the quality of their life and contribute to the sustainable development of their community or region while accepting the diversity and multi-culturalism nature of the European setting. The organisaiton has a special care is for the young people and the elderly whom it aims to reach out, to support and to empower thus minimising marginalisation and exclusion from the society and the economy. It is among our mission to bring the two generations together through inter-generational learning activities. Its vision is build resilient societies with motivated, active and determined citizens who share the common values of respect, freedom of speech, equality and acceptance of all people. We visualise a society where all citizens are integrated and included in the all fields education, employment, health and housing. The ultimate vision is to empower all citizens to participate in the democratic life, to fight for their dreams, to invest in their talents and to work hard to reach them in whichever field they are. ENVIRONMENTAL – CLIMATE CHANGE - SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
We focus on promoting environmental friendly mind-sets for all citizens starting from youth, exploring consumption habits, rethinking about lifestyles, supporting eco-friendly households, reducing energy use and waste, caring for animals and recycling through organising events, activities or participating in projects. CULTURE AND THE ARTS
Our culture is our world! We focus on preserving our culture and customs, promoting the talents of young people in the arts (music, poetry, drawing, dance, sculpture), exploring traditional music, organising exhibitions or music events, utilising expertise of senior citizens and sharing with the younger generation and providing open space for presentations of their work, on and off line. EMPLOYABILITY
The focus is on empowering young people with soft and employability skills needed by the labour market, supporting them to prepare their CV, presenting themselves, acquiring targeted competences such as social entrepreneurial skills or green entrepreneurship as well as promoting career orientation for people with disabilities or fewer opportunities. INTER-GENERATIONAL LEARNING
Among the activities we focus on bringing the two generations together through inter-generational learning activities for digital inclusion, organising activities, promoting volunteering and mentoring, sharing expertise and promoting traditions. WELL-BEING, HEALTH AND SPORT
Keeping, fit and healthy, both mentally and physically is among our aims and activities. We support the BeActive Initiative, as well as mental empowerment for all citizens, self-respect, motivational speeches and boosting interactive outdoor explorations.
