The President of the European Parliament, the President of Cyprus, on behalf of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the President of the European Commission have come together for the first time to set out a shared strategic vision, political ambition, and direction for EU cultural policy.

📌 The call aims to protect and promote EU fundamental rights and values by supporting civil society organisations, raising awareness of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, and protecting civic space. The call includes two priorities:

Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme

The Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations - ΟΕΠΠΣ, as the Coordinator of the Anna Lindh Foundation Cyprus Network, was pleased to participate in the Lindh Foundation Heads of Networks Meeting held on 9–10 June in Berlin.

The meeting brought together Heads of Civil Society Networks from across the Euro-Mediterranean region to exchange insights, strengthen cooperation, and reflect on shared priorities.

Over the two days, the Anna Lindh Foundation and Heads of Networks engaged in a series of working sessions and discussions focused on strengthening the Foundation’s programmes and activities, enhancing cross-network collaboration, exploring more strategic fundraising approaches, and advancing strategic communications across the Networks through dedicated communications training.

We extend our sincere thanks to the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Head of the Anna Lindh Foundation German Network for hosting the meeting and for their hospitality throughout the event.

🇨🇾 🎉 Με επιτυχία υλοποιήθηκε το European Heritage στο πλαίσιο της Συνόδου Ευρωπαϊκής Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς 2026 (European Cultural Heritage Summit 2026), το οποίο πραγματοποιείται από τις 26 μέχρι τις 30 Μαΐου στη Λευκωσία.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της εκδήλωσης, οι 30 βραβευθέντες των Ευρωπαϊκών Βραβείων Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς 2026 παρουσίασαν τα έργα τους και μοιράστηκαν πολύτιμες εμπειρίες και εμπνευσμένες πρακτικές διατήρησης και προώθησης της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς της Ευρώπης.

Ο Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations - ΟΕΠΠΣ, ο οποίος διαχειρίζεται το Creative Europe Desk Cyprus, συμμετείχε στην εκδήλωση παρέχοντας πληροφόρηση για τις ευκαιρίες χρηματοδότησης του Creative Europe και της πρωτοβουλίας Culture Moves Europe, η οποία ενισχύει την κινητικότητα των καλλιτεχνών.

The European Heritage was successfully held as part of the European Cultural Heritage Summit 2026, taking place in Nicosia from 26 to 30 May.

During the event, the 30 laureates of the 2026 presented their projects and shared valuable experiences and inspiring practices for the preservation and promotion of Europe’s cultural heritage.

The Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations - ΟΕΠΠΣ, as the Creative Europe Desk Cyprus, participated in the event by providing information on funding opportunities under the Creative Europe programme and the Culture Moves Europe initiative, which supports the mobility of artists.

The Summit and the ceremony are co-funded by the Creative Europe programme.

Tonight, the 2026 award ceremony will take place at the Δημοτικό Θέατρο Λευκωσίας / Nicosia Municipal Theatre from 20:00 to 22:00.

📣 Η πρόσκληση Town Twinning 2026 (CERV-2026-CITIZENS-TOWN-TT) του προγράμματος Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV) έχει ανοίξει για κατάθεση προτάσεων στο EU Funding & Tenders Portal.

📌Στόχος της πρόσκλησης είναι η προώθηση ανταλλαγών μεταξύ πολιτών διαφορετικών χωρών, ιδίως μέσω της Αδελφοποίησης Πόλεων, προσφέροντάς τους πρακτική εμπειρία του πλούτου και της πολυμορφίας της κοινής κληρονομιάς της Ένωσης, βοηθώντας τους να αντιληφθούν ότι αυτά αποτελούν το θεμέλιο για ένα κοινό μέλλον.

Οι αιτήσεις για την 11η έκδοση του εργαστηρίου και pitching forum “Let’s Pitch Some Shorts!” είναι ανοικτές. Το εργαστήριο αποτελεί μια πρωτοβουλία των Γραφείων Creative Europe MEDIA από Κύπρο, Κροατία, Τσεχία, Εσθονία, Ελλάδα, Ουγγαρία, Μαυροβούνιο, Σερβία και Σλοβενία σε συνεργασία με το Filmski centar Crne Gore, to Arts Council Malta και τον Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations - ΟΕΠΠΣ.

Το εργαστήριο απευθύνεται σε επαγγελματίες του κινηματογράφου (σκηνοθέτες, σεναριογράφους, παραγωγούς) οι οποίοι ετοιμάζουν projects ταινιών μικρού μήκους μυθοπλασίας.

The Creative Europe MEDIA Desks from Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia in cooperation with the Filmski centar Crne Gore - Film Center of Montenegro, Arts Council Malta & Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations - ΟΕΠΠΣ are launching the new - 11th edition of "Let's pitch some shorts!" – a workshop and pitching forum designed to help film professionals prepare and present their short film projects to the industry.
