💙 Meet Scott — Our Intelligent Kelpie Cross! 💙

Hi everyone, Scott here! 🐾

I’ve had such a wonderful morning with my new bestie Bob. We chatted, chilled together and generally had an awesome time! But he told me he's been adopted am so happy for him but feel very sad, when will it be my turn????? ❤️

Now, about me… Originally, the volunteers thought I was a Doberman X, but they’ve been getting to know me better and now think I’m actually an Australian Kelpie cross. And when you look at my build and personality, it really does make sense! 🐕

I’m 3½ years old, neutered and healthy, and I’m a very intelligent boy. My biggest problem is that I really don’t cope well with life in the pound. 😔

I need a home with an experienced owner who understands dogs like me and can give me the exercise, mental stimulation and structure I need. I’m an active, clever boy and I need someone who will keep my mind busy as well as my legs!

🐾 I get along with other dogs, so having a canine companion would be absolutely fine.

🏡 What I really need is a home where I can finally settle, learn and thrive.

🚫 No children, please.

I know I may need a little understanding and patience, but underneath it all I’m just a clever boy waiting for the right person to give me the chance I deserve. 💙

He has so much love to give and deserves a family of his very own. Every day he waits, hoping that his forever person will finally find him. Blue is looking for his home in Cyprus only.

Heartbreak for Ben... he missed his chance to leave the pound.
Sadly, Ben didn't make the last flight, so his dream of finally leaving the pound has been delayed once again.

The good news is that Ben already has a wonderful Flight Angel, so everything is in place for him to travel. The only thing missing is the one thing he wants most... a forever family waiting to welcome him home.

Meet Ben

Hi, my name is Ben.

I was found alone in the pouring rain at the end of March and brought to the safety of the pound. Despite everything I've been been through, I've never lost my trust in people or my hope that one day someone will choose me.

I'm around 2 years old and, although I'm blind in one eye, the vet has given me a clean bill of health. It doesn't hold me back at all—I love my walks, enjoy exploring, and embrace life with a wagging tail and I love to play with toys.

I'd be happiest as the only dog in my new home, where I can enjoy all the love and attention. My favourite things are spending time with people, going for walks, and curling up for cuddles with my humans.

Every time another dog leaves for their forever home, I watch and wonder...

When will it be my turn?

Ben has waited long enough. He's a loving, affectionate boy with so much to give, and we're struggling to understand why no one has come forward for him.

💖 Meet Luna – Our Little “Mini Mali” 💖

Meet gorgeous Luna, an adorable 8-month-old Podenco mix who may have a little Belgian Malinois in her too. We’re not completely sure, but here at the pound we call her “Mini Mali Luna” – and she is absolutely adorable! 🥰

Luna is healthy, neutered and incredibly friendly. She gets on brilliantly with her kennel mates and is a real favourite with all the volunteers.

At just around 8kg, Luna is a petite little girl and the perfect size for cuddles! ❤️

Luna was surrendered to the pound together with her kennel buddy Hugo, and she has previously lived in a home with both small and large dogs.

Next week, Luna will be going for her passport, microchip and vaccinations, and she’ll be ready to fly to her forever home in September. ✈️🐾

All this sweet little girl needs now is a family to love her and a forever home of her own. Could Luna be the little “Mini Mali” you’ve been looking for? 💕🏡

🐾 Meet Sunny

Hi, I'm Sunny.

I'm a beautiful young hunting dog, just 1 year old, and I've now spent 4 months at Polis Pound watching other dogs leave for their forever homes while I continue to wait.

Every morning I wake up full of hope. Every time someone walks past my kennel, my tail starts wagging. Maybe today will be the day someone finally chooses me...

I'm healthy, neutered, and bursting with love and enthusiasm for life. I absolutely adore cuddles, kisses, and being with people. Give me a little love and I'll give you my whole heart in return.

I'm an energetic girl who loves adventures, walks, and exploring, so I'd thrive with an active family. I can be a little bit bossy, which means I'd probably be happiest as your only dog where I can enjoy all the attention. That said, I do get along well with other dogs and currently share my kennel with my best friend, Jenny. We have so much fun together.

I'm clever, eager to learn, and with a little patience and guidance, I'll become the loyal, loving companion you've always dreamed of.

The hardest part about life in the pound isn't the kennel...

It's wondering why no one has chosen you.

Please don't let Sunny spend another month waiting. She has so much joy, love, and happiness to bring to a family—she just needs someone to give her the chance.

💖 Meet Beautiful Sadie 💖

At just 10 months old, Sadie is a sweet, gentle girl with a loving heart and a wonderfully calm nature. 🩷

Expected to grow to around 15–20kg, she’ll be the perfect medium-sized companion — not too big, not too small, just the perfect size for adventures, cuddles and everything in between. 🐾

Sadie absolutely loves cuddles, walks beautifully on the lead and simply wants to be close to her people. ❤️

She’s still only a baby, and all she dreams of is having a family to call her own — somewhere she can grow up feeling safe, loved and cherished forever. 🏡💕

💗 DID YOU SEE ZAFIRA’S VIDEO FROM HER LITTLE DAY OUT? 💗

Hi everyone, Zafira here! 🐾💕

Did you watch my video from my little playdate? I had the BEST day ever! 🥰

Sadly, I’m back in the pound now, and honestly… I’m finding it quite hard. 🥺 I’ve been here for 3 weeks, and I’m really hoping that someone will see my video and realise that I could be their perfect little girl. ❤️

I’m a petite 3-year-old girl, weighing around 10kg. I’m healthy, neutered and, although I’m quite nervous, there’s a much more confident little dog hiding underneath that nervousness. 🐶💕

One of our lovely volunteers, Olga, took me home for a playdate and told everyone that I was the perfect house guest! 🏡❤️

I met her three dogs and behaved beautifully with all of them — even the one who seemed absolutely HUGE to a petite little girl like me! 😂🐾

I was wonderful in the house, didn’t take any liberties, travelled brilliantly in the car and absolutely loved wandering around the garden. 🌸

But do you know what I loved most?

Being in a home. ❤️

Having another friendly dog around helped me feel safe and gave me confidence. It made me realise just how lovely life could be outside the pound.

So I think my perfect forever home may be one with another friendly doggy companion who can help me feel safe, settled and happy. 🐶❤️

I’m still nervous and I’m learning to walk nicely on my lead, so I’ll need a patient and understanding family who will give me the time and encouragement I need. I promise I’ll do my very best. 🥰

✈️ MY CHANCE TO TRAVEL IS COMING!

My next opportunity to travel to my forever home is in September. We don’t have the exact date confirmed yet — it could be the 13th or 20th.

Please, please don’t let me miss my chance. 🙏❤️

I’ve already shown how wonderful I can be in a home. All I need now is my own family to give me that chance.
