Don't forget we've two brilliant events on tomorrow. Tony Strafford, ex Yeoman of the Guard giving us his annual brilliant talk - this year entitled The Ladies of the Tower. If you've booked your breakfast with us (€8) doors open from 9.00 a.m. but if you want to cook your own sausages you can still join us from 10.30 onwards to enjoy Tony's talk.
Then....
It's time for Phoenix Rising - anticipated for weeks since they had to postpone their previous booking. A great night of music & dancing is guaranteed - food is again available ...so if you've booked your meal with the show (€14) then doors & bar open at 6.30pm. Show only (€7) from 8pm. (Non-members can join us for any event by just paying €2 temporary membership fee)

News Flash from this week's Wednesday Night Quiz. Apparently these are the 'Dim-wits'; since they aren't sure about that, it might be true. On the other hand they are this week's Golden Gavel graspers, after bursting through with a fantastic score on the final round to sn**ch the win - so perhaps they should be called the 'Bright-Wits'. Just a reminder that the Quiz is still chugging along on Wednesday nights at the Club, and it looks like Henderson's Relish are still winning - not unusual as you can tell by their expert gavel grasping. It is noted that the Hender's are also enjoying Brown Sauce & Malt Vinegar obviously a powerful combination for the brain cells - and if that's all it takes maybe you should come along and give it a go!

The latest events calendar - after 3 updates it's hopefully correct... ish. Don't forget you can check the website diary / calendar closer to any event - sometimes things change at the last minute due to things that are totally out of our control. Emails can't be sent out in time, not everyone is on Facebook and Posters & Flyers have already gone out. However we try to get the website calendar as accurate as possible, as soon as possible. Conversely if you see anything wrong on the calendar or emails let us know at [email protected] (quickest ) or the Facebook email (not so closely monitored but we will see it) addresses & we're always very grateful.

It was a great night of skittle bashing last night - here's a few reminders of the combatants - them skittles put up some spirited resistance but succumbed in the end. Well done to the well deserving winners of the fizz - but everyone else had a brilliant time too. To be repeated soon me thinks.

Scottish Country Dancing restarts tonight with the Social & Dancing from 6pm until 8pm. If there's anyone out there who wants to give the dancing a try, but just isn't sure about it - especially if you are 'solo' - gather your courage & come & join us; if you don't enjoy it, it's one evening wasted, but if you do then it's fun, fitness & friendship for the rest of your life!
The Beginner's & Improver's Classes restart next Monday, 2pm to 4pm, but tonight's social session is a fun night of mixed level dancing which gives you a chance to watch, as well as dance, so you can decide if it's really for you, without too much pressure. Oh, and we do have men at the classes too - so if you are a guy don't worry that you'll be the only one! See the St Andrew Group website at www.StAndrewGroup.com for more information.
