Dear friends and supporters, today's 2 families really need our help to get shoes for school. One single mother is a non-refugee, but has suffered a long term illness, she can only work part time with her 2 boys at school. She is not able to buy everything she needs but does try incredibly hard. At school time we always try to help her. She need boys sizes 32 and 34. Good trainers in black please.
Family 2 have 4 boys. Again mum was sick for many years and we have often supported her with a few essential needs. This year we cannot provide her with bags or uniform but we have decided to find her shoes. All boys, Sizes - 38 (×2), 30 and 44.
Whilst many of us are enjoying the beach, please remember the mums who have a lot of expensive items to find...we are happy to receive second hand shoes in good condition but we don't often receive shoes. New would be fantastic!

Happy Sunday dear friends, if you are in the Coral Bay area we need to support a gentleman with a food bag this week. Can you help us? He does not appeal for help often but we are trying to reach him when he does ask although he is not refugee/asylum status. His case is difficult and will take time to navigate but he is doing what is necessary with social services to sort his future out. In the meantime food is scarce. Message us here with any offers of help.

If you live in Paphos and can visit Jumbos or shops like Kiabi, Babel, Energy and any good charity shops...can you help us provide clothing for schoolchildren of any age. There are cheap packs of simple white T shirts, packs of socks/pants, black/grey/navy trousers or skirts. If you spot a bargain just add 1 item to your shopping to help our children please. Any back packs would be great too!!

Hello, can we help this family today? We need 2 boys bags with wheels, for a 6 and 7 yr old who have a long walk to school. There is no close bus stop so they are going to walk with mum. Those of us who went to Demotiko know about heavy book loads! This family are struggling in other ways we cannot make public, so we felt we could alleviate their problems a little, with the right bags. If you can add pencil cases or lunchboxes or bottles inside these 2 bags this would help us at the Learning Refuge to share our supplies amongst other families. Wasn't Charlie Brown a great cartoon which dealt with all the anxieties of school days!

Hi we are not able to provide new school uniform supplies this year but we are trying to provide stationery, socks, pants, lunch boxes etc. For our families its impossible to buy new uniform or shoes so they rely on our store for good quality second hand clothing. Each day this month we are posting individual families needs in the hope that we can help them 'one by one'

Today's family a single mum - has 3 teenagers who need uniform. A 16 yr old boy needs black jeans/sport trousers in L or XL. Size 42 shoe. One teen girls age 14 and a girl of 11 need also black jeans/leggings/ trousers, and 2 pairs of trainer shoes 37 or 33.

Can you help this family living in Chlorakas area? Good quality 2nd hand items are most welcome 🙏

Dear friends and Helpful People in the Polis direction, please help us provide temporary help for a single woman who just arrived in Polis and she really needs a foodbag. She is diabetic and so we are hoping to find some of the following items for her -
* Eggs
* Lentils, beans, chickpeas
* Whole-wheat bread
* Oats,weetabix or any whole-grain cereal
* Brown rice, whole-wheat pasta
* Low-fat milk, low-fat cheese or yoghurt
* potatoes, fresh vegetables, or any fresh fruit
* Olive oil
* Canned tomatoes or any cans with no added sugar
If you can help us with this one faraway lady this week it would be a great help, as we are not yet ready to deliver our monthly food distribution.

Happy Holy Day, friends. We need a large rucksack for a dad who will travel this Monday to Syria to bring emergency supplies for his family. His wife and children have lost weight due to stress and a lot less food. It's been sad to talk to them and see the broken down house they have moved back into. This is a super kind father and we are discussing sending a container to help 3 families sharing 1 broken home later this year. We waste our short lives fighting, neglecting the welfare of the wives and children whom God has gifted to the world.

Thanks to the anonymous donor of school books found today on our veranda!! A great collection of new English, Greek, maths and reading books at various levels, including workbooks for writing in. We shall use them of course but there are many more than we need. Do you want educational and fun books for keeping your children busy and 'off' games and social media...these are especially useful in the holidays! Or are you trying to grapple with Greek language or English yourself? We are happy to share these with you, perhaps for a small donation towards our Back to School efforts? We have more books than shown in the photos.

Good Morning friends, we are helping many families again with school supplies. This year we are focusing on LUNCH BOXES and DRINKING BOTTLES, SOCKS and UNDERPANTS (all childrens ages), and STATIONERY and PENCIL CASES/BAGS. Thankyou to Mums in Paphos for raising and donating these funds from the Summer Family Fun Fest.

You can also help by providing any of the following items over the next 2 weeks - please bring any second hand UNIFORM, SCHOOL BAGS and GOOD SHOES in all childrens sizes. Message us here for meeting times!
