One World, Many Voices has officially come to an end 🌍
Looking back at the past days in Polis Chrysochous, Cyprus, the impact created on participants was clearly visible from the very first day to the final reflection. At the beginning of the project, several participants shared that they felt nervous about speaking English, communicating with people from different cultures, or actively participating in group discussions. However, by the end of the exchange, many of those same participants were confidently presenting ideas, leading discussions, participating in debates, and expressing their opinions openly in front of the group.
Throughout the project, participants developed important competencies connected to communication, teamwork, emotional intelligence, leadership, intercultural understanding, conflict management, self-confidence, and inclusion. The impact became especially visible during activities such as the Conflict Mapping Workshop, Active Listening Exercises, Leadership Simulations, Silent Strategy Game, and Community Interviews with local people. Participants learned how to better manage disagreements, communicate calmly during tension, listen without judgment, and cooperate with people holding different perspectives or communication styles.
One participant shared during the final evaluation that they felt “less afraid of making mistakes while speaking English,” while another explained that the project helped them become “more open-minded and confident when meeting new people.” Several participants also mentioned that they became more patient, more understanding toward cultural differences, and more comfortable expressing emotions and opinions in group environments.
Another important outcome was the strong level of intercultural interaction created throughout the exchange. At the beginning, many participants mostly stayed close to their national groups, but by the end of the project, mixed-nationality friendships became completely natural within the group.
The project also increased participants’ awareness of future international opportunities through Erasmus+, ESC, training courses, volunteering projects, and youth initiatives. For many first-time participants, this project became their first step toward future international involvement and active participation in youth work.
We would like to sincerely thank all participants, team leaders, the facilitator, and our partner organizations from Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, and Croatia for their contribution, energy, and cooperation in this journey. Your participation made this project truly meaningful and unforgettable. See you again in future initiatives, new projects, and new international experiences together ❤️
