In period 6-15 of February 2026 our colleague participated in the "Act for Human Rights" training course on Legislative Theatre!
Hosted in the beautiful mountain town of Bușteni, Romania, this training empowered youth workers and activists to use theatre as a tool for advocacy, systemic change, and human rights action.
🎭 What is Legislative Theatre?
As one of the forms of Theatre of the Oppressed, Legislative Theatre is a participatory method that transforms lived experiences of oppression into public dialogue and concrete policy proposals. It’s a “collective rehearsal for reality” — where communities don’t just act out problems, but co-create solutions.
✨ Some of the TC activities included:
* Interactive theatre exercises and advocacy meetings simulations
* Creating, performing, and facilitating 3 Legislative Theatre performances
* Exploring real human rights challenges faced by young people
* Turning stories of oppression into advocacy strategies
* Developing concrete legislative and policy recommendations
* Building skills to collaborate with public authorities for bottom-up systemic change
Theatre isn’t just performance — it’s participation, power, and change. 💬🔥
The project was financially supported by the Erasmus+ Program through the Romanian National Agency and implemented by A.R.T. Fusion Association.
