There is nothing sustainable about herbicide use.
To sustain the health of an ecosystem you must farm in such a way that you continue to keep it at the same level of health and productivity, at least. Degrading ecosystem health and diminishing the fertility and productivity of the land year after year - isn’t the way to go.
The call for a Global Boycott of Wines grown with Glyphosphate is also on those sustainability certifications that allow the use of herbicides.
