A new month brings new opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.

As we move into June, we also look ahead to an important milestone for IMA Cyprus — our Annual General Meeting — a chance to reflect on what we have achieved together and to shape the future of our community and profession.

Planning. Reflecting. Moving forward.

Last night, the IMA Cyprus National Board came together for our final Board Meeting before the AGM. While we reviewed the past year, discussed our achievements, lessons learned, recent collaborations, and plans for the future, we also took time to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate how far we have come as a team.
Behind every event, meeting, partnership, social media post, and initiative are dedicated volunteers who give their time, energy, and ideas to support our profession and our members.
There was plenty of work, plenty of discussion, and yes… plenty of laughter too. 😊
Thank you to our Board members for their commitment throughout the year.
We look forward to sharing more with our members at the AGM on Saturday 13th June at the Classic Hotel - Nicosia and continuing to build an even stronger IMA Cyprus together.

Μέλη του Συνδέσμου μας συμμετείχαν στην 33η Ημερίδα, η οποία διοργανώθηκε με μεγάλη επιτυχία από τον Όμιλο Γραμματειακών Σπουδών του Cyprus College σε συνεργασία με τον Διεθνή Σύνδεσμο Βοηθών Διεύθυνσης (International Management Assistants – IMA).

Η Ημερίδα πραγματοποιήθηκε επίσης σε συνεργασία με την Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus και περιλάμβανε παρουσίαση με θέμα «Η Τέχνη της Ενεργητικής Ακρόασης», με εισηγητή τον κ. Ανδρέα Γιόρτσιο, Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Manager της Coca-Cola HBC Cyprus.

Κατά την παρουσίασή του, ο κ. Γιόρτσιος ανέδειξε τη σημασία της ενεργητικής ακρόασης και εξήγησε πώς αυτή διαφέρει από την απλή ακοή, καθώς συνδυάζει συγκέντρωση, ενσυναίσθηση, παρατηρητικότητα και προσεκτική ανταπόκριση. Τόνισε επίσης ότι, στην πράξη, η ενεργητική ακρόαση βοηθά τους ανθρώπους να αισθάνονται ότι ακούγονται, γίνονται σεβαστοί και κατανοούνται, γεγονός που συμβάλλει ουσιαστικά στη βελτίωση της επικοινωνίας στις διαπροσωπικές σχέσεις, στον εργασιακό χώρο, στην ηγεσία, στη συμβουλευτική, στις διαπραγματεύσεις και στις καθημερινές συζητήσεις.

Το πρόγραμμα βασίζεται στην πρωτοβουλία Youth Empowered 2.0 της Coca-Cola HBC Κύπρου, μια εμπνευσμένη δράση βασισμένη στη γνώση, η οποία έχει σχεδιαστεί για να ενδυναμώνει φοιτητές και αποφοίτους, προετοιμάζοντάς τους για μια επιτυχημένη επαγγελματική πορεία και για την ανάληψη ηγετικών ρόλων.

Following an invitation by the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, our National Chair Annita Haralambous Eftekhar together with our National Marketing & Communications Officer Styliana Pontiki-Drege attended on Friday 22 May 2026 the high-level event “EU Meets Limassol: Towards a More Sustainable Blue Economy”, co-organised by the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Επιμελητήριο Λεμεσού and the CMMI - Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The event brought together distinguished speakers and industry leaders who explored how businesses - and especially the maritime sector - can contribute towards a more sustainable blue economy through innovation, collaboration, and responsible growth.

An important thought and question remain highly relevant for all of us:

IMA Cyprus was pleased to be represented at the held at the Amara, by our National MarCom Officer Styliana Pontiki-Drege and Deputy MarCom Officer

Over the two days, the event united professionals, business leaders, and organisations from Cyprus and abroad, fostering networking, learning, and meaningful discussions.
