We are proud to announce that our International Commissioner, Elli Kodjamani, has been nominated as a candidate for the World Board of World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. With courage, vision, and a lifelong commitment to Guiding, Elli shares the words and values that have guided her throughout her life:

« Θάρρος, Οδηγέ μου, σφίξε την καρδιά, πάρε ευθύς το δρόμο, δίχως ακεφιά… »
« Courage, my Guide, brace your heart, take the road at once, without gloom... »
I recall the song that I was taught as a young Guide and has since accompanied me in every step of my life.
Θάρρος = Tharros. In Greek «Tharros» (Θάρρος) is more than just courage. It calls for an alignment of your soul, heart, and mind, to back your words and actions. It’s the resilience needed to face every new path, stay alert, and achieve your goals. As I envision our World Movement, I translate «Tharros» into action for the World Board. And I renew my Guiding Promise and my commitment, that I will do my absolute best to deliver:
- Robust Governance and Growth: Leveraging my personal and professional experience to continue building a well-governed, well-funded and resilient WAGGGS, that provides tangible benefits to every Member Organization
- Global Empowerment: Equipping girls and women, across all five Regions, with the tools they need to exercise their rights, raise their voices, and thrive in today’s challenging world."

We are proud to support Elli on this journey and wish her every success as she continues to represent Cyprus Guiding with dedication, integrity, and “Tharros”.

Σας περιμένουμε αύριο στο 57ο Παγκύπριο Συνέδριο Στελεχών του ΣΚΟ με θέμα «Από τη φωνή στη δράση: Από την υπόσχεση στην πράξη». Την έναρξη των εργασιών θα πραγματοποιήσει η Επίτροπος Ισότητας των Φύλων, Josie Christodoulou.

Μαζί μας οι ομιλήτριες: κα Δέσποινα Ζαντή Εγγεγραμμένη Εκπαιδευτική / Σχολική Ψυχολόγος #932, κα Άννα Κοσμά και Δρ. Maria Terzi. Τη συζήτηση θα συντονίσει η Δρ. Ήβη Λάμπρου, Επίκουρη Καθηγήτρια Δημοσιογραφίας, Frederick University.
