Με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Μέρα Κοινωνικής Εργασίας, αναγνωρίζεται ο καθοριστικός ρόλος των επαγγελματιών Κοινωνικών Λειτουργών στη στήριξη των ευάλωτων ομάδων και στην ενίσχυση της κοινωνικής συνοχής.

Οι Κοινωνικοί Λειτουργοί, είτε δραστηριοποιούνται στην πρώτη γραμμή παροχής υπηρεσιών, είτε συμβάλλουν μέσα από έρευνα και κοινωνικό σχεδιασμό, αποτελούν βασικό πυλώνα για τη δημιουργία μιας πιο δίκαιης και συμπεριληπτικής κοινωνίας.

📢 From Potential to Participation: Enabling Migrants to Build Their Future in Greece

“Starting a new life in a new country is not just about getting a job.”
It’s about helping migrants rebuild their self-assurance, learning a new language, understanding a new system, and receiving a fair chance to contribute to society.

Thousands of third-country nationals possess skills, experience, and the drive to contribute to Greek society. However, migrants face obstacles in entering the labour market. Limited networks, language barriers, lack of recognition of their qualifications, and lack of information about where to start are some of the obstacles they need to overcome.

At the same time, the European Commission is calling for faster and more effective labour market integration through its new five-year migration strategy - recognising that inclusion is key to Europe’s economic future.

This is where the AMIL Project makes a difference.

Through personalised, human-centred pathways, AMIL supports migrants to move from potential to participation by offering:
✅ Skills and career assessments
✅ Workplace-focused language learning
✅ Job-readiness workshops and mentoring
✅ Access to internships, vocational training and real employment opportunities

Because integration isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s personal.
When migrants feel empowered, they don’t just participate in the labor market; they flourish in it.
Moreover, when migrants’ success meets the readiness of the labor market, everyone wins.

📢 From Arrival to Employment: Making Integration Work for Greece’s Economy

In Greece, migration is no longer only a reception challenge - it’s a labour market reality.

Businesses across tourism, agriculture, construction and local services are facing growing workforce shortages, while many migrants and third-country nationals are ready to contribute but lack clear pathways into employment.

At the same time, the European Commission has introduced a new five-year strategy on migration and asylum (2026-2030), placing legal migration and labour mobility at the centre of Europe’s competitiveness and economic resilience.

So, the question becomes simple: How do we connect talent with opportunity - faster and more effectively?
This is exactly what the AMIL Project is working to achieve.

Through a dual-track approach, AMIL:
✅ Supports employers with practical tools for inclusive hiring and workplace readiness
✅ Provides migrants with personalised pathways: skills assessment, language training, job-readiness and real employment opportunities
Because integration works best when both sides are prepared at the same time.

When employers are ready to hire and people are ready to work, inclusion is no longer a problem, but rather an opportunity for mutual growth.

Η ένταξη δεν έρχεται με «business as usual». Τα παιδιά με μεταναστευτική βιογραφία χρειάζονται χώρο να αφηγηθούν την εμπειρία τους και να δημιουργήσουν τον νέο τους κόσμο.

Με τη συμβολή της Μαρίνας Κατσαρή, το έργο ToC EU Project φτάνει σε περισσότερα παιδιά, γονείς και εκπαιδευτικούς, προωθώντας ουσιαστική ένταξη, γλωσσική ενδυνάμωση και κριτική σκέψη.

Πάντα πίστευτα ότι τα παιδιά με μεταναστευτικό υπόβαθρο δεν εντάσσονται μέσα από την ''business as usual'' διδασκαλία. Τα παιδιά αυτά διψούν να εκφραστούν, να εξηγήσουν τον κόσμο που άφησαν πίσω τους και να δημιουργήσουν τον καινούργιο που θα τους επιτρέψει να συνεχίσουν.

🎯Το ευρωπαϊκό έργο ''Theory of Change'' προωθεί την ένταξη παιδιών με μεταναστευτική βιογραφία μέσω εκπαίδευσης, γλωσσικής μάθησης και ανάπτυξης κριτικής σκέψης.

💡Με καινοτόμες δράσεις και διαδραστική πλατφόρμα, ενδυναμώνει παιδιά, γονείς και εκπαιδευτικούς, προωθώντας τα δικαιώματα των παιδιών.
