Η αποκατάσταση ενός λατομείου μετά το πέρας της εξόρυξης δεν είναι απλώς υποχρέωση, είναι ευθύνη απέναντι στο περιβάλλον και τις επόμενες γενιές. 🌱✅

Με την ολοκλήρωση των εργασιών εξόρυξης σε περιοχή του λατομείου K. Kythreotis Holdings Public Ltd ξεκίνησε η επόμενη και πολύ σημαντική φάση: η περιβαλλοντική αποκατάσταση.

Φυτεύτηκαν 500 δέντρα και θάμνοι (κυπαρίσσια, πεύκα, τερατσιές, αγριελιές και σχινιές) ενισχύοντας τη φυσική αναγέννηση της περιοχής και τη βιοποικιλότητα.

Σε συνεργασία με το Τμήμα Δασών, ο χώρος μετασχηματίζεται σταδιακά και επανεντάσσεται στο φυσικό τοπίο, αποδεικνύοντας ότι η υπεύθυνη δραστηριότητα δεν σταματά στην εξόρυξη.🌍💚

30 professionals from different quarry companies in Cyprus — members of the Cyprus Quarries Association — traveled to China for a professional and technical visit, sharing a common goal of learning, collaboration, and industry development.

Our journey was hosted by Vertex Bergbaumaschinen AG and truly exceeded expectations. From Beijing to Shanghai, we experienced exceptional hospitality, excellent organization, and the genuine warmth of our hosts — while also discovering China’s rich culture and its remarkable people.

Professionally, the visit offered valuable insight into Vertex’s operations. We visited Vertex quarry site, their machinery manufacturing plants, and corporate offices, gaining firsthand exposure to advanced technology, strong corporate organization, impressive production capabilities, and consistently high quality standards. Vertex’s clear vision and innovation-driven approach were evident throughout, reflecting a company that sets high benchmarks in the global aggregates and machinery sector.

This was truly an unforgettable journey. Our sincere thanks go to Libo Fang, Loren zhang and the entire Vertex team for their outstanding hospitality and for making this meaningful visit possible.

Back in November, with the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cyprus Quarries Association and the China Aggregates Association, we committed to embarking on a shared journey of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and sustainable development.
