ICFFCY aims at giving children the opportunity to explore and use media in all its different forms starting at an early age and encouraging a lifelong interest. As a leading advocate for Media Literacy Education in Cyprus, ICFFCY has proven its commitment to the arts by promoting strategies for conflict resolution, intercultural dialogue, respect of human rights and peace. We recognise the growing
relevance of world cinema in the Cypriot culture. From 2004 to 2012 ICFFCY brought to Cyprus international movies as well as local releases, classics and new films. We aspire to re-establish the festival and associated activities in 2020, attracting industry professionals and educators to participate in hands-on workshops via a 2-week film festival.
