About PASIKA

About The Members of PASIKA : MemberS of PASIKA are owners of all categories of establishments that are legally operating under The Deputy Ministry of Tourism such as Restaurants , taverns , snack bars , cafeterias , clubs , music halls , bars , pubs , discos etc.PASIKA members are from all around the island with more power in the Capital Lefkosia , as well as Larnaca , Mountain Resorts , Paphos and others. To offer a fair and equal for all competition. Mission To keep the Association active increase the number of members .To be able to handle and solve problems in the best way for the interest and benefit of all members. Activities. The general secretary of PASIKA Mr. Phanos Levendis is participating in many committees that are dealing with the tourism sector . He is very often invited to TV and radio programs and he is being hosted in the most popular Cyprus News Papers with articles connected to the tourist industry . The general secretary but also other members of the board are often invited to the House of the Representatives to express the Association’s opinions before any new law will be voted by the members of the House of the Representatives. Members of the Board are participating as members of the Board of Directors in the new established Regional Companies with the target of improving developing and promoting the local Tourism offered product. Levendis used to be a member of the Board of Directors in Lefkosia’s Regional Company. For financial reasons have left the board. There is an open invitation for PASIKA to become a member of the B.D. Aristides Aristide participates in the Board of Directors in the Troodos Regional Company [Mountain Resorts]
Mr. Kyprianos Kyprianou participates in the Board of Directors of the Limmassol Regional Company. ( Mr K. Kyprianou he has unfortunatelly left the B.D. of PASIKA
Our Associations image it’s very strong in Cyprus Society and enjoys the respect and acceptance of the citizens. Objectives. Collaborate with other related associations and unions to take parallel actions for the benefits of our members. Try to find a way to release the hotel industry from the dependence of the unfair and catastrophic for touristic industry ALL INCLUSIVE. Add more pressure on the government to control in a more strict way the opening and operating new establishments
The number of legal establishments in Cyprus is around 3.250 which seem to be very high according to the population of the country and the number of tourists we attract around 2.5 m. Training is a high priority of the Association and our dream of establishing an Academy of Tourism is now a reality after the establishment of EMAT in which our Association as well as EMRF is one of the founding members
