European Parliament President Roberta Metsola tells Euronews that Canada’s proposed “associate membership” could open the door for other like-minded countries to deepen ties with the EU. She says countries including Australia and New Zealand could follow.

“In such times of uncertainty, having friends matters,” Metsola says.
