The conversation, moderated by journalist Vivian Kanari, will reflect on leadership, representation, the interaction and impact at the highest levels of European decision-making, with a particular focus on public service, diplomacy, resilience, and the personal journey of leading this national effort.
Marilena Raouna played a central role in coordinating and implementing the Cyprus Presidency of the Council, a national effort that placed Cyprus at the heart of Europe, and strengthened its role in European decision-making.

We are incredibly proud of the recent appointment of AIPFE Cyprus - Women of Europe friend Stephanie Laulhe Shaelou as one of the 11 Advocates General at the European Court Of Justice.

An inspiring example of hard work, determination, and intellectual curiosity, Stephanie has served until recently as Head of the Law School at the University of Central Lancashire Cyprus and is an invited Rule of Law expert at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.

We warmly congratulate her and wish her every success in this distinguished position.

Θερμά συγχαρητήρια στην Annita Demetriou - Αννίτα Δημητρίου για την επανεκλογή της ως Πρόεδρος της Βουλής των Αντιπροσώπων για δεύτερη θητεία!

Η ηγετική της ικανότητα, η συνέπεια και η βαθιά προσήλωσή της στη δημοκρατία αποτελούν πραγματική έμπνευση για όλες και όλους μας.

Στην πρώτο γύρο η Αννίτα Δημητρίου έλαβε 21 ψήφους. Πρόκειται για τους 17 ψήφους του ΔΗΣΥ και τους τέσσερις ψήφους της Άμεσης Δημοκρατίας.

Η Women Act Cyprus και η AIPFE Cyprus - Women of Europe διοργάνωσαν, στις 11 Μαΐου 2026, μια βραδιά διαλόγου και δικτύωσης με γυναίκες υποψήφιες βουλεύτριες από όλο το πολιτικό φάσμα. Σε συνέχεια της εκδήλωσης, η AIPFE επικοινώνησε με τις 21 υποψήφιες που συμμετείχαν, καλώντας τες να καταθέσουν τις απόψεις, τις προτεραιότητες και τις ενδεχόμενες δράσεις τους αναφορικά με:

-Την προώθηση των δικαιωμάτων των γυναικών
-την ισότητα των φύλων
-την ευημερία και την συμπερίληψη, και
-την εξάλειψη των διακρίσεων στην Κύπρο

Παρουσιάζουμε επιλεγμένες τοποθετήσεις τους.
