Cyprus is hosting the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2026!

From 15–17 October 2026, Nicosia will welcome innovators, developers and teams for the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2026 – Autumn Edition, with Cyprus selected as one of only eight locations across the EU to host this year’s event.

Under the theme “Autonomy on the Battlefield,” participants will work on three key challenges:

🔹 GNSS-denied navigation
🔹 Swarm coordination
🔹 C-UAS Interceptor protection of critical infrastructure

Participants will have the opportunity to test their solutions in the field, engage with military end-users and industry experts, and compete for €10,000+ in prizes, alongside access to further EU-wide support opportunities.

💡 This edition is aimed at teams with an existing prototype, MVP or working demonstrator (TRL4+). Individuals looking to join a team can also apply.

Cyprus is hosting the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2026!

Citizens in Power is proud to join the Cyprus edition as co-host and Hackathon Programme & Facilitation Partner, supporting participant recruitment, dissemination and the on-site hackathon experience.

From 15–17 October 2026, Nicosia will welcome innovators, developers and teams for the EUDIS Defence Hackathon 2026 – Autumn Edition, with Cyprus selected as one of only eight locations across the EU to host this year’s event.

Επαγγελματίες υγείας στην Κύπρο (ιατροί, στελέχη πληροφορικής, διοίκησης και διαχείρισης - όσοι/-ες έχετε, ή ενδέχεται στο μέλλον να έχετε, ρόλο στην προμήθεια, εφαρμογή ή παρακολούθηση συστημάτων Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης στην κλινική πράξη): δωρεάν online εκπαίδευση AEQUITAS 🩺

Τα εργαλεία Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης εισέρχονται στη διάγνωση, την εκτίμηση κινδύνου και τη θεραπεία ταχύτερα από όσο τεκμηριώνεται η απόδοσή τους σε διαφορετικές ομάδες ασθενών. Σημειώνεται ότι οι τεχνολογίες αυτές δεν φέρουν πάντα την επισήμανση «τεχνητή νοημοσύνη» - περιλαμβάνουν συχνά συστήματα ιατρικής απεικόνισης, εργαλεία υποστήριξης κλινικής απόφασης και ψηφιακά συστήματα πληροφορικής νοσοκομείων.

Το έργο AEQUITAS (συγχρηματοδοτούμενο από την ΕΕ μέσω του προγράμματος CERV) εκπαιδεύει επαγγελματίες υγείας στην αναγνώριση έμφυλης και φυλετικής μεροληψίας στη βιοϊατρική ΤΝ, με πρακτικά εργαλεία έτοιμα για χρήση από αύριο.

We’re excited to announce Crafting Inclusion: Connecting Communities Through Creativity as the winning initiative of the FLYE - Financial Literacy for Innovative youth Participation Youth Participatory Budgeting process in Cyprus!

Built around the idea that creativity can bring people together, the initiative will create a welcoming space for migrants, seniors and young people with fewer opportunities to connect, exchange cultures and express themselves through creative activities.

From cultural storytelling and macramé to collaborative art and local makers, Crafting Inclusion is all about turning creativity into connection, belonging and community.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their ideas and took part in the voting process.
