Their experiences, frustrations and ideas are the foundation everything else is built on.

Their answers won't sit in a drawer — they're shaping the Fan Culture Transformation Toolkit from the ground up.

metACTION will be participating in the 13th World Refugee Day Festival, taking place on 19 June 2026 from 18:00 to 22:00 at Faneromeni Square in the old city of Nicosia.

Organised by the Cyprus Refugee Council and Bridges for Tomorrow, in collaboration with Cypriot and refugee communities from across the island, the festival celebrates cultural diversity, inclusion, and the valuable contributions that refugee communities bring to Cyprus.

Join us for an evening filled with music, international cuisine, family-friendly activities, storytelling, and opportunities to connect with community groups and civil society organisations.
We are proud to be part of this important celebration once again and look forward to meeting you there!

ΔΕΠΥ: χρειάζεται ενημέρωση, κατανόηση και ουσιαστική στήριξη.

Η κα Μαρίνα Γεωργίου, Πρόεδρος του Συνδέσμου ΔΕΠΥ Κύπρου, συμμετέχει σε μια ιδιαίτερα σημαντική συζήτηση για τη ΔΕΠΥ, τις προκλήσεις που αντιμετωπίζουν τα άτομα και οι οικογένειές τους, καθώς και για την ανάγκη δημιουργίας ενός πιο υποστηρικτικού και συμπεριληπτικού περιβάλλοντος.

Στο επεισόδιο παρουσιάζεται το πολύτιμο έργο του Συνδέσμου στην ενημέρωση, ενδυνάμωση και στήριξη των οικογενειών, ενώ αναδεικνύεται και η σημασία πρωτοβουλιών πρόληψης και ευαισθητοποίησης, όπως το πρόγραμμα Project Emotion Lab: Art and Science for Child Protection.

We recently conducted awareness-raising and capacity-building workshops on youth participation and democracy at the University of Nicosia and University of Cyprus as part of the YOUth Matter initiative.🗳️

The sessions brought together university students to explore key dimensions of democratic life, including how democracy functions today, pathways for civic participation, freedom of expression, and the importance of critical thinking and constructive dialogue.

Through interactive discussions and group activities, participants engaged with structured debate and barriers to civic engagement, while reflecting on their own role as active citizens.💬🤝

This initiative is implemented within the project “Towards an Open, Fair, and Sustainable Europe in the World – EU Presidency Project 2024–2026,” co-funded by the European Union and carried out by Global Focus, Grupa Zagranica, CARDET, and CONCORD.

Through desk research, stakeholder mapping, and the preparation of focus groups, the project is building a strong evidence base for the development of the Fan Culture Transformation Toolkit (FCTT).

The findings will contribute to:
• A Fan Code of Conduct
• Training and awareness resources
• Positive fan engagement strategies
• Safer and more inclusive sporting environments

Together, we are promoting respect, fair play, and positive values in sport across communities and grassroots organisations.

Στο πρόγραμμα Project Emotion Lab, η συναισθηματική ενδυνάμωση αξιοποιεί τον χώρο του αθλητισμού ως ένα δυναμικό πεδίο βιωματικής μάθησης.

Τα παιδιά της ομάδας του Παναθηναϊκού συμμετείχαν σε δημιουργικά εργαστήρια, μέσα από τα οποία ανέπτυξαν δεξιότητες αναγνώρισης και διαχείρισης συναισθημάτων, βασισμένες σε εμπειρίες που αντικατοπτρίζουν την καθημερινότητά τους, τόσο στον αθλητισμό όσο και στην ευρύτερη ζωή τους.
