Applications for the Schuman Traineeships are now open! 🎓✨

The European Parliament offers 5-month paid traineeships within its Secretariat, giving young people the opportunity to gain professional experience and discover how the European Parliament works from the inside.

👤 Who can apply?
• 18+ years old
• University degree holder
• Strong knowledge of one EU official language + very good knowledge of another
• Eligible candidates must meet the other application requirements

📅 Application deadline: 31 October 2026
📍 Traineeship period: 1 March – 31 July 2027

💻 You can apply for up to 3 traineeship offers. A Europass CV and a motivation letter are required.

The European Youth Event (EYE) is back! 🎉 On 18–19 June 2027, thousands of young people aged 16–30 from across Europe and beyond will come together at the European Parliament in Strasbourg to discuss Europe’s present and future.

And this time, you can help shape the programme! 💡

Youth organisations and youth groups are invited to propose and organise activities for EYE2027 — from interactive workshops and debates to artistic performances, networking activities and more.

📅 October 2026:Call for financial support for groups of disadvantaged youth
📅 February 2027:Participant registrations open

👥 EYE2027 will explore four key themes:

On 20 September, we came together at the Home for Cooperation for International Day of Peace — a day of dialogue, connection and collective action for peace.

The day was filled with activities bringing people together through an educational walk, children’s creative activities, the launch of the Imagine Peace Academy, an NGO fair, music, food and opportunities for connection and exchange.

A key moment of the day was the panel discussion “From Dialogue to Action: Building a Civil Society Coalition for Anti-Racist Education in Cyprus,” which brought together 16 civil society organisations to sign a shared Commitment for Anti-Racist Education in Cyprus, marking a collective step towards strengthening cooperation and advancing anti-racist education across the island.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed to the conversations, and continues to invest in peace — for everyone, everywhere, every day.

International Day of Peace was organised by the Home for Cooperation (H4C), the Association for Historical Dialogue & Research (AHDR) and The Home Cafe. It is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Republic of Germany and supported by the Representation of the European Commission in Cyprus through the EUAcrossCY_H4C project.

🎨Children's Activity by Michalis Pantelidis: “Painting Peace Together”
This International Day of Peace 2026, join us for a creative activity where children will explore the question: “If peace had a colour, shape or symbol, what would it look like?”
The children will collaboratively create a textile artwork, with each child contributing their own drawing and ideas. Together, these individual expressions will form one shared artwork celebrating peace, coexistence and community.
