Home for Cooperation An intercommunal community center, located in the UN Buffer Zone Nicosia, Cyprus.

The Home for Cooperation is a shared space that enhances communication and encourages participation in public matters. It is a community centre in the buffer zone, Nicosia, for people coming from across the existing divide to meet in an environment where tolerance and human dignity are nurtured. The unique location of the Home for Cooperation allows it to serve as a stepping stone for people who p

erhaps do not feel comfortable to fully engage with the ‘other’ but also as a bridge builder for those who are ready for meaningful cooperation. Working at a community level with the aim to contribute to the peacebuilding process the establishment of a dynamic presence within the community is essential. Moving towards this aim, the Home for Cooperation is evolving to societal needs, while placing importance on its’ consistency as a trusted civil society organization that is loyal to community members invested in peace and strengthened inter-communal dialogue. The focus on culture and the arts has a direct correlation to strengthened social cohesion through bridging ties between communities. Such programs underline the cultural overlapping whilst celebrating the existing differences.

🙌UNITED BY SOUND DAY! On Sunday, 21 June, we come together in solidarity and celebration, cherishing the connections that make us stronger. This special day commemorates the anniversary of the release of The Time is Ripe on the European Day of Music in 2020; a moment that marked the beginning of a new chapter for our program and participants!

🤝 The Home for Cooperation had the pleasure of welcoming State Secretary of the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Equality Trude Storheim, Senior Advisor Kaja Jorem, EU Presidency Advisor Torunn Skard, and EEA Grants Advisor Maria Fola from the Norwegian Embassy in Athens.

The delegation met with H4C Executive Manager Andri Christofides and H4C Project Officer Ilsu Cagra, where H4C presented its work and discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in peacebuilding, reconciliation, and efforts to foster a stronger and more connected civil society across Cyprus.

🙏 We sincerely thank our guests for their visit, their recognition of H4C’s work, and their commitment to advancing reconciliation and supporting civil society initiatives.

The May walk is taking place on a Sunday and is titled Flavours of Nicosia: An exploration of the city’s culinary streets

🍇What flavours define Nicosia? Join us in experiencing the city through its rich culinary landscape, uncovering the stories, people, and memories woven into its food. Through food, we explore Nicosia’s ever-evolving anthropogeography and the ways in which people, histories, and places become intertwined over time. We follow the journeys of families, artisans, and entrepreneurs who preserve cherished recipes and flavours of the past, while others introduce new tastes and influences that reflect the city’s evolving identity.

3️⃣Workshop 3: The Musician’s Path: "Reflection, listening, and moving forward together"
🤗The final workshop offers space for reflection and perspective. Participants are invited to share where they currently find themselves in their artistic journey, and to listen to others doing the same.
This session acknowledges both continuity and change, recognising that not everyone’s path unfolds in the same way or at the same pace. Attendance at previous workshops is welcome but not essential, and new participants can easily join the conversation.

💫"In presence, In togetherness" is a three-part workshop series under the Home for Cooperation's project United by Sound. The series is bringing together musicians from across the dividing lines in Cyprus, in a space of listening, dialogue, and shared experience. Rooted in music and open to closely related artistic practices, each workshop stands on its own while also contributing to a wider conversation about creativity, resilience, and community. Participants are welcome to attend one or more sessions, depending on availability. The series culminates in a public event on International Music Day, 21 June 2026, where selected elements emerging from the workshops may be shared.
