Ziyafeti Project: How things got started

Greek and Turkish text follows. ENG: Society seems indifferent to how life was in mixed villages in Cyprus and what happened there during the 1958-1974 period. For this reason, as a group of young people, we attempted to interview those who lived and who are still living in the former and current mixed villages of Cyprus. With this action, we believe that

the daily life of people at that time and what they have been through will be known by more people. Common language, common culture, cooperation and common history are the eternal building blocks of peaceful common life. We are aiming to keep younger generations away from the fanatic, extreme nationalist and fascist feelings by centralizing objectively the events and happenings of the past.
