Would anyone be able to foster Reuben? He’s in Durham in foster but he needs to move asap 🥹
This is what his foster mum says about Reuben:
Reuben is an extremely playful boy, loves his ball games with gusto. He should be called Fagin as he steels anything and everything from T.Towels, to trainers to T.bags. He really is funny with it, it’s a game he plays, never destroying the evidence. A little distraction goes a long way with Reuben if you want your handbag back 😝
He is gentle and has good meal manners. I’ve been able to touch him while he’s eating, he nicely sits on command for a treat or his dinner too. Shakes paw as well.
He’s easy to train but has issues of the chasing kind - especially sheep, chickens, garden birds anything really that moves. So definitely NOT ok near sheep or ducks etc.
He has been playing nicely with my rescue Coonhound Bella, but now he has his paws under the table these have become dominance play!
Despite these few little issues he would make an active family a marvellous pet.
- No small kids
- No cats or small furry animals
- Older children only
- Active family
He is fine being left alone, he just sleeps in his bed. Never an issue going to bed or staying in a different room to us with or without my two pooches.
A low energy mid life person/people would suit him too.
I do walk him with a harness & lead and collar & lead.
He’s a really nice dog, sadly having an old dog needing quiet it’s all a bit much with Reuben’s young energy levels.
Reuben is vaccinated, chipped, neutered and has rescue back up.
