Χάρη στην τεράστια κινητοποίησή σας, βρέθηκαν προσωρινά σπίτια φιλοξενίας για τα 2 French Bulldogs και τα 2 Chihuahua. ❤️🙏
Σας ευχαριστούμε πραγματικά μέσα από την καρδιά μας για κάθε μήνυμα, κάθε κοινοποίηση και, πάνω απ' όλα, για τους ανθρώπους που άνοιξαν το σπίτι τους για να τα βοηθήσουν.
Όταν θα είναι έτοιμα για υιοθεσία θα σας ενημερώσουμε.
Δυστυχώς, για τον Phoenix δεν υπήρξε ενδιαφέρον για φιλοξενία. Έτσι, σήμερα μεταφέρθηκε στα κλουβιά που χρησιμοποιούμε προσωρινά για τους σκύλους μας μέχρι να καταφέρουμε να τους βρούμε τις οικογένειες που θα τα υιοθετήσουν.
Ο Phoenix είναι ασφαλής. Αλλά εξακολουθεί να χρειάζεται ένα σπίτι. ❤️🩹

Υπάρχουν πάρα, πάρα πολλά. Στη δική μας φιλοζωική αλλά και σε τόσες άλλες φιλοζωικές οργανώσεις.
Καθαρόαιμα ή μη.
Μικρά ή μεγάλα.
Νεαρά ή ηλικιωμένα.
Οι ανάγκες τους είναι οι πολλές και η αγάπη που έχουν να προσφέρουν είναι ακριβώς η ίδια.
Μην περιμένετε μόνο εκείνο που έχει μια συγκεκριμένη ράτσα, εμφάνιση ή μέγεθος για να ανοίξετε το σπίτι σας.
Κάπου υπάρχει ήδη ένα ζώο που περιμένει έναν άνθρωπο να του δώσει απλώς μία ευκαιρία.
Και πάλι, σας ευχαριστούμε όλους για την απίστευτη κινητοποίηση. 🐾❤️

We truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every message, every share and, above all, for the people who opened their homes to help them.
We will let you know as soon as they are ready for adoption.
Unfortunately, we received no offers to foster Phoenix. As a result, today he was moved to the kennels we temporarily use for our dogs while we search for the families who will eventually adopt them.
Phoenix is safe. But he still needs a home. ❤️🩹

Please don't wait only for the dog of a particular breed, appearance or size before deciding to open your home.
Somewhere, there is already an animal waiting for someone to simply give them a chance.

🚨 ΧΡΕΙΑΖΟΜΑΣΤΕ 3 ΣΠΙΤΙΑ. ΜΕΧΡΙ ΑΥΡΙΟ. 🚨
Σήμερα ήταν μία από εκείνες τις μέρες που μας θυμίζουν με τον πιο σκληρό τρόπο ότι δεν αρκεί να θέλεις να σώσεις μια ζωή. Πρέπει να έχεις και πού να την πας μετά.
Χθες μας χτύπησαν την πόρτα για έναν κυνηγετικό σκύλο που πέθαινε αργά και βασανιστικά από δηλητήριο, λίγα μόλις μέτρα από το σπίτι εθελόντριάς μας.
Σε τέτοιες στιγμές δεν σκέφτεσαι αν έχεις χώρο. Δεν σκέφτεσαι αν έχεις χρήματα. Δεν σκέφτεσαι αν αντέχεις άλλο.
Τρέχεις. Γιατί μια ζωή κρέμεται από τα χέρια σου.
Τρεις φορές πήγε να πεθάνει μπροστά μας. Τρεις φορές φοβηθήκαμε ότι δεν θα τα καταφέρει. Όμως τα κατάφερε. Και τον ονομάσαμε Phoenix. ❤️🩹
Ενώ ακόμη τρέχαμε για εκείνον, κληθήκαμε από τις Κτηνιατρικές Υπηρεσίες να αναλάβουμε 4 από τα 14 σκυλιά που επρόκειτο να κατασχεθούν από τις συνθήκες που βλέπετε στις φωτογραφίες.
Δύο French Bulldogs και δύο Chihuahua, λιγότερο από 2 κιλά το καθένα.
Και πάλι η απόφαση ήταν μονόδρομος.
Τα πήραμε.
Μπήκαν στο αυτοκίνητο και πήγαμε κατευθείαν στον κτηνίατρο.
Και μετά ήρθε η ερώτηση που φοβόμασταν:
ΤΩΡΑ ΠΟΥ ΤΑ ΠΑΜΕ;
Το RIGHTS FOR ANIMALS RESCUE CYPRUS (R.A.R.C.) δεν έχει καταφύγιο. Δεν έχουμε διαθέσιμα foster homes. Τα σπίτια των εθελοντών μας είναι ήδη γεμάτα.
Και υπάρχει κάτι που οφείλουμε να πούμε ξεκάθαρα:
Διάσωση δεν σημαίνει απλώς να κρατήσεις ένα ζώο ζωντανό.
Σημαίνει να μπορείς να του προσφέρεις ασφάλεια, φροντίδα, ανθρώπινη επαφή, αξιοπρέπεια και ευημερία.
Και φτάσαμε στο όριό μας.
Δεν μπορούμε να βάλουμε άλλα ζώα στα σπίτια μας. Δεν χωράνε.
Θα αναλάβουμε τα έξοδά τους. Θα αναλάβουμε την κτηνιατρική τους φροντίδα και την προσπάθεια να τους βρούμε τα κατάλληλα σπίτια.
Θα συνεχίσουμε να κάνουμε ό,τι περνά από το χέρι μας, κυρίως με προσωπικά μας εισοδήματα, αφού οι δωρεές που λαμβάνουμε είναι ελάχιστες.
Αλλά ένα πράγμα δεν μπορούμε να δημιουργήσουμε μόνοι μας: σπίτια.
Και γι' αυτό σήμερα δεν σας ζητάμε απλώς ένα like.
ΣΑΣ ΖΗΤΑΜΕ ΝΑ ΑΝΟΙΞΕΤΕ ΤΗΝ ΠΟΡΤΑ ΣΑΣ.
Χρειαζόμαστε άμεσα 3 σπίτια φιλοξενίας. Αν κάποιος ενδιαφέρεται για υπεύθυνη υιοθεσία, φυσικά μπορεί επίσης να επικοινωνήσει μαζί μας.
🐾 PHOENIX
Ο μικρός μαχητής που μόλις επέζησε.
Αν μέχρι αύριο, Παρασκευή το πρωί, δεν βρεθεί σπίτι, θα αναγκαστεί να πάει σε κλουβί, μόνος του, αμέσως μετά από όσα πέρασε, με ελάχιστη ανθρώπινη επαφή μέσα στην ημέρα.
Μετά τη μάχη που έδωσε για να κρατηθεί στη ζωή, αυτό είναι το καλύτερο που μπορούμε να του προσφέρουμε;
🐾 ΤΑ 2 FRENCH BULLDOGS — ΜΑΖΙ
Είναι φιλικότατα και πολύ δεμένα μεταξύ τους. Πιθανότατα έχουν περάσει όλη τους τη ζωή μαζί. Μετά από όσα έζησαν, δεν θέλουμε να τους στερήσουμε και ο ένας τον άλλον.
Χρειάζονται ένα σπίτι μαζί. Ένα καθαρό μέρος για να κοιμηθούν. Ασφάλεια. Χάδια. Και την ευκαιρία να μάθουν πώς είναι να σε αγαπούν πραγματικά.
🐾 ΤΑ 2 CHIHUAHUA — ΜΑΖΙ
Δύο πλασματάκια κάτω των 2 κιλών. Γλυκύτατα και ναζιάρικα, αλλά διστακτικά απέναντι στον άνθρωπο.
Όταν τα πλησιάζεις, κρύβονται, αλλά δείχνουν πως θέλουν να έρθουν κοντά σου. Χαμηλώνουν το σώμα τους και προσπαθούν σχεδόν να γίνουν ένα με το πάτωμα, ενώ ταυτόχρονα κουνάνε ουρίτσες και κάνουν νάζια.
Δεν χρειάζονται πίεση. Χρειάζονται ασφάλεια. Υπομονή. Εμπιστοσύνη. Και χρειάζονται ο ένας τον άλλον.
Θέλουμε όμως να καταλάβετε και κάτι ακόμη.
Αυτή η έκκληση δεν αφορά μόνο αυτά τα 5 σκυλιά.
Αφορά και το επόμενο.
Και το επόμενο.
Και εκείνο που αυτή τη στιγμή ίσως βρίσκεται κάπου κλεισμένο, παραμελημένο, δηλητηριασμένο ή κακοποιημένο και αύριο κάποιος θα μας τηλεφωνήσει για να το σώσουμε.
Αν αυτοί δεν φύγουν από τα χέρια μας, εμείς δεν μπορούμε να πάρουμε τους επόμενους.
Στην επόμενη κατάσχεση, τι θα γίνει;
Στο επόμενο επείγον περιστατικό;
Όταν χτυπήσει ξανά το τηλέφωνο και στην άλλη άκρη υπάρχει μια ζωή που κινδυνεύει, πού θα τη βάλουμε;
Είμαστε εθελοντές.
Πολύ συχνά ξεπερνάμε τις δυνάμεις μας, τον χρόνο μας, τα σπίτια μας και τις οικονομικές μας δυνατότητες για να είμαστε εκεί όταν μας χρειάζονται.
Είμαστε στην πρώτη γραμμή για να τα σώσουμε. Αλλά και η πρώτη γραμμή κάποια στιγμή γεμίζει.
Τα likes και τα shares βοηθούν να ακουστεί η φωνή τους, και τα χρειαζόμαστε.
Αλλά αυτή τη φορά χρειαζόμαστε κάτι περισσότερο από ένα share. Χρειαζόμαστε ΔΡΑΣΗ.

🚨 WE NEED 3 HOMES. BY TOMORROW. 🚨
Today was one of those days that reminds us, in the hardest possible way, that wanting to save a life is not enough. You also need somewhere safe for that life to go afterwards.
Yesterday, someone came knocking on our door about a hunting dog who was slowly and painfully dying from poisoning, just a few metres away from one of our volunteer’s homes.
In moments like these, you don’t stop to think whether you have space. You don’t think about whether you have the money. You don’t think about whether you can handle one more.
You run. Because a life is in your hands.
Three times, he nearly died in front of us. Three times, we thought we were going to lose him.
But he made it.
And we named him Phoenix. ❤️🩹
While we were still running around trying to save him, we were contacted by the Veterinary Services and asked to take 4 of the 14 dogs who were due to be seized from the conditions you can see in these photos.
Two French Bulldogs and two Chihuahuas, each weighing less than 2 kg.
Once again, there was only one possible answer.
We took them.
We put them in the car and drove them straight to the vet.
And then came the question we were dreading:
WHERE DO WE TAKE THEM NOW?
Rights For Animals Cyprus does not have a shelter.
We have no available foster homes. Our volunteers’ homes are already full.
And there is something we need to say very clearly:
Rescue does not simply mean keeping an animal alive.
It means being able to offer them safety, care, human contact, dignity and welfare.
And we have reached our limit.
We cannot put any more animals into our homes. There is simply no more room.
We will cover their expenses. We will take responsibility for their veterinary care and for finding them the right permanent homes.
We will continue doing everything within our power, largely from our own personal incomes, as the donations we receive are very limited.
But there is one thing we cannot create on our own: homes.
And that is why today we are not simply asking you for a like.
WE ARE ASKING YOU TO OPEN YOUR DOOR.
We urgently need 3 foster homes. If anyone is interested in responsible adoption, of course, please contact us as well.
🐾 PHOENIX
Our little fighter who has just survived.
If we do not find him a home by tomorrow, Friday morning, he will have to go into a kennel, alone, immediately after everything he has just been through, with very limited human contact throughout the day.
After fighting so hard to stay alive, is this really the best we can offer him?
🐾 THE 2 FRENCH BULLDOGS — TOGETHER
They are incredibly friendly and very closely bonded. They have most likely spent their entire lives together. After everything they have already been through, we do not want to take each other away from them too.
They need a home together.
A clean place to sleep. Safety. Affection.
And the chance to finally learn what it feels like to be truly loved.
🐾 THE 2 CHIHUAHUAS — TOGETHER
Two tiny souls, each weighing less than 2 kg.
They are incredibly sweet and affectionate, but hesitant around people.
When you approach them, they hide, yet you can see that they want to come closer. They lower their little bodies and almost try to disappear into the floor, while at the same time wagging their tails and showing you their sweet, playful side.
They do not need pressure.
They need safety. Patience. Trust.
And they need each other.
But there is something else we need you to understand.
This appeal is not only about these 5 dogs.
It is about the next one.
And the one after that.
And the animal who, right now, may be somewhere locked away, neglected, poisoned or abused — the one we may receive a call about tomorrow, asking us to save them.
If these dogs cannot move on from our care, we cannot take in the next ones.
What happens at the next seizure?
What happens with the next emergency?
When the phone rings again and there is another life at risk on the other end, where are we supposed to put them?
We are volunteers.
So often, we push beyond our limits — our time, our homes, our finances and our own strength — so that we can be there when these animals need us.
We are on the front line to save them. But eventually, even the front line becomes full.
Likes and shares help their voices to be heard, and yes, we need them.
But this time, we need something more than a share. We need ACTION.
