This is a post about Kosta and Stella but you'll notice Kostas isn't in the video. 1 week ago Kosta needed to have a large bladder stone removed as a matter of urgency. His incision is rather large and putting him back in the kennel was not recommended for the sake of his recovery. We can't wait to reunite them in a few days. But until then extra TLC has been prescribed.
We've all missed our handsome gent.
In absence the heart grows fonder

🐾 Dobby

This is the dog people keep getting wrong.

Some see his size and assume he's a guard dog. A tough dog. A serious dog.

And then you hand him a toy.

Dobby is clever, playful, people-oriented, and full of character. He doesn't want to guard a property. He wants to be part of a family. He wants games, adventures, attention, and someone to share his life with.

It's heartbreaking that such a fun, engaging dog is still sitting in a shelter, waiting for someone to see who he really is.

Please look past appearances.

Dobby is not looking for something to protect.

He's looking for someone to love. ❤️

Running the shelter means expenses every single day — whether donations come in or not. And the truth is, there are days when we receive ZERO donations, while the costs continue.

Our dogs still need to visit the vet, receive their medication, and most require special food that can be very costly.
On top of this, we also have the expenses that keep the shelter running: cleaning supplies, salaries, social insurances, repairs etc.
These are not extras — they are essentials for our dogs’ health, care, and wellbeing.

We’re Hiring – 2nd Dog Caretaker Wanted 🐾

Location: Finikaria

Schedule:
6 days per week
8:00am – 4:00pm

Main duties:
• Feeding
• Giving medication
• Cleaning
• Administrative work

Requirements:
• Previous experience with dogs is essential
• Must be confident handling and caring for big dogs
• Must be hard-working and physically fit
• Must have own transportation
• Applicants must be European citizens or already have the legal right to work in Cyprus. Please note that we are unable to provide a working visa for non-European citizens

Except for a couple of brief hours in the playground, this tiny kennel is where Foxy spends almost all of her days. For an active, lively dog like her, this is no life. No matter how much love and care she receives, these four walls can never replace freedom, adventure, and the comfort of a real home.

Every day, Foxy waits for someone to stop, notice her, and choose her. But the days keep passing, and she remains confined to this small space, watching the world move on without her.

It’s heartbreaking and unfair. Foxy deserves long walks, soft beds, loving arms, and the chance to truly live. She deserves to feel wanted and loved.

Please don’t let her spend another day behind kennel bars. Be the person who changes her life forever. Be her second chance. Be her way out. ❤️

Some dogs never even get a second chance in life.
Bruno did. And he made the absolute most of it.

Now all he needs is a third chance.
A real home. A real family. A life outside shelter walls.

Bruno was found collapsed on the side of the road… weak, exhausted, and barely hanging on. A dog that had completely lost hope.

But he survived.

And ever since, he has been living life with pure gratitude and joy. Bruno is affectionate, funny, loyal, and so full of love for people. Every walk, every cuddle, every little bit of attention means everything to him.

He went from simply surviving… to truly living.

Imagine how much more he could become if someone finally gave him the life he has always deserved.
