✈️ Do you remember when 35 youth workers from 10 countries landed in Cyprus with one shared mission?

Almost three years ago, something special happened in Pervolia, Larnaca 🌊☀️

From June 30 to July 8, 2023, Youth Enaal hosted the Erasmus+ Training Course “Empowering Youth Employability” bringing together 35 youth workers from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands

🇨🇾🇬🇷🇮🇹🇭🇺🇩🇰🇩🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹🇱🇺🇳🇱

For 9 days, these changemakers worked side by side to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing young people today: youth unemployment and barriers to the labor market. They shared tools, broke stereotypes, built confidence, and designed real strategies to help young people find their path, no matter their background or starting point.

But it wasn’t all workshops 🏛️
Participants also explored Nicosia, walking through the Green Line, discovering the Archaeological Museum, and soaking in the vibrant energy of Laiki Geitonia and Eleftheria Square. Because learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.

💡 That project planted seeds. And those seeds are still growing. The spirit of Empowering Youth Employability lives on in everything we do at Youth ENAAL connecting young people, building skills, and creating opportunities that matter.

🌍 Some moments don’t just stay in your memory, they stay in your heart.

It was May 2023. The sun was shining over Pervolia, Cyprus. 56 young people from 8 different countries, 🇬🇷 🇨🇾 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 🇮🇹 🇭🇺 🇵🇱 🇷🇴 strangers at first.. sat in the same room, ready to ask themselves one of the most important questions we can ever face:

Could you be loved… and be loved?

Inspired by Bob Marley’s timeless message of equality, freedom, and justice, our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange became something far greater than a project.

It became a space where Romanian laughter met Cypriot warmth, where Lithuanian curiosity danced with Spanish energy, where every meal shared, every workshop lived, every story told, built something real. Something human.

Together, we talked about the hard things too. Racism. Xenophobia. The faces behind the word “refugee.” We didn’t just learn about these issues from books, we listened. We looked each other in the eyes. And we left changed.

One of our participants said it perfectly:
“You didn’t just represent your countries, you brought your stories, your energy, your laughter, and your hearts. And that made all the difference.”

None of this would have been possible without the organizations who trusted us, who made the journey happen, and who brought such remarkable people together under one roof. To every partner organization, every group leader who believed in this exchange, thank you.

And to every single participant who packed a bag, and showed up with an open heart: we think about you! We hope life is treating you well, wherever you are today. We hope you carried something from Pervolia with you a conversation, a friendship, a question that still makes you think.

And speaking of questions that make you think…

In the world we’re living in right now, with everything happening around us, this question feels more urgent than ever. More necessary. It’s worth pausing. It’s worth asking again. And it’s worth remembering that in May 2023, 56 young people from 8 countries proved the answer can be yes.

This is what Youth Enaal does.
Not just projects. Not just paperwork. We create spaces where young people from across Europe discover that connection is possible, that understanding is possible.. a better world is possible, one Erasmus + project at a time.

✨ Throwback to when 30 youth workers from 8 countries gathered in Pervolia, Cyprus and left as something more than colleagues.

🗓️ September 22-30, 2022. Youth ENAAL hosted “Together We Are Stronger” an Erasmus+ Training Course that brought together youth workers from across Europe to do something powerful: talk honestly about the challenges facing our continent.
The war in Ukraine. The climate crisis. Migration. Youth unemployment. These weren’t just headlines they were the conversations happening around our tables every single day.

🌍 Through non-formal learning workshops, open debates, and intercultural activities, participants didn’t just exchange ideas, they found common ground. And in that common ground, they found the values that unite us all: peace, solidarity, respect, and equality.

They also got to experience Cyprus firsthand visiting museums, archaeological sites, and cultural landmarks, and discovering the legendary Cypriot hospitality 🏛️

☀️ And on September 24th, participants joined the “Up to Youth” Festival at Akropolis Park in Nicosia, celebrating the European Year of Youth 2022.

💬 A huge thank you to all our partner organizations and to every youth worker who showed up, spoke up, and reminded us why European cooperation matters.

At Youth ENAAL, we started as a small football team in Larnaca in 2007. Today, we build bridges between young people across Europe. The mission has grown but the heart is the same. 💙

✨ "I Have A Dream” 4 Years Later, Still Dreaming Big! ✨

Four years ago today, 56 young people from 8 European countries, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland, Romania, Germany, Czech Republic, and Bulgaria, came together in the beautiful coastal village of Pervolia, Larnaca, for one of the most unforgettable experiences of our lives. 🌍🇨🇾

Inspired by the iconic words of Martin Luther King Jr., our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “I HAVE A DREAM” was built on a simple but powerful belief: that when young people from different cultures meet, listen, and learn from each other, the world becomes a little better.

And it really did. 💙

Through non-formal education, outdoor activities, intercultural evenings, teambuilding games, and real conversations about discrimination, stereotypes, and human rights, we didn’t just share food and music.. we built friendships and broke down barriers that still matter today.

Every participant also walked away with a YouthPass, a recognized certificate of non-formal learning they could add to their CV, proof that this was so much more than just a trip.

🙏 To all our partner organizations and every single participant, thank you. The pandemic delayed us by two years, but you showed up with energy, open minds, and good hearts. Totally worth the wait.
