Two months, one host institution, real backing.

EMAP invites artists, artist duos, collectives, and other collaborations working in digital, media, robotic, and bio art to apply for a production residency at one of 15 host institutions across Europe in 2027. Every applicant works with a collaborating partner — already on board, or found along the way.

Included: €4,000 for the applying artist, €2,000 for the collaborating partner, a separate €4,000 production budget, free accommodation, and access to the host institution's studios and labs. Selected work can travel further through EMAP's network of 150+ partner institutions and joins EMAP's permanent media art archive.

The ecosystem of online video hosting is changing, and after careful deliberation, we have opted not to renew our Vimeo subscription. The reason is that despite once being hailed as the ultimate platform by independent creators, filmmakers, analysts, NGOs, and big corporations wanting a top-quality product, things have changed. Although we have uploaded our first video there in 2008, and since, we are archiving 229 of them but the time has come to move on be it to another controversial platform. Here's our reasoning:
