“CIVITAS” Scientific Center of Criminology and Restorative Justice is a non-profit organisation in Our objective is the study of crime and other modern social problems, with emphasis on the promotion and implementation of programs and practices that strengthen the community and social integration, especially throu
gh Restorative Justice. The aims of “CIVITAS” Center are scientific, advisory, research, educational and wider social in the scientific fields of Restorative Justice and Mediation, Criminology and Victimology. Within this scope, the Center's activities focus on:
- studying, preventing and tackling crime, delinquency, and other social problems,
- promoting, supporting and implementing Restorative Justice and its practices,
- promoting and implementing programs to support victims of crime,
- strengthening social values and social solidarity,
- promoting gender equality and eliminating discrimination based on s*x, race or ethnic origin, s*xual orientation, religious or political beliefs,
- promoting and implementing programs to empower vulnerable social groups and to strengthen the social web and human rights.
