IMMAF European Championships – Belgrade

Team Cyprus concluded its participation at the IMMAF European Championships with strong performances and valuable international experience.

Christos Stylli achieved two victories, both by armbar submission.
Marinos Demitriou also recorded two wins, securing one victory by rear naked choke and one by decision.
Dimitris Masarani competed today, earning two wins and concluding his run at the quarterfinal stage after a competitive bout.

The Cyprus Mixed Martial Arts Federation congratulates all three athletes for their dedication, effort, and representation of Cyprus on the European stage.

Special thanks to head coach Fytos Neofytou for his guidance, preparation, and continuous support of the team.

Christos Stylli achieved two victories, both by armbar submission, demonstrating excellent technical ex*****on and control.

Marinos Demitriou also recorded two wins, securing one victory by rear naked choke and a second by decision after a hard-fought bout.

The Cyprus Mixed Martial Arts Federation congratulates both athletes and their coaching teams for their outstanding efforts and professionalism.

Today, our Federation held its Annual General Assembly — a landmark event that brought together 25 esteemed coaches from across the country.

We had the honor of hearing inspiring words from IMMAF Vice President, Mr. Wissam Abi Nader, whose presence elevated the significance of the day. Our President, Mr. Stefanos Charalambous, officially introduced the new National Team ranking system, marking an important step forward for the future of our athletes.

The 2026 calendar was proudly unveiled, setting the stage for another year of growth and competition. Coaches also shared their experiences at the IMMAF European and World Championships, offering valuable insights that will strengthen the development of our sport.

Open discussions allowed for the exchange of ideas, fostering unity and collaboration. The Assembly concluded with a heartfelt awards ceremony, recognizing and celebrating the dedication and achievements of our coaches.

It was truly a resounding success, reflecting the passion, professionalism, and shared vision of our Federation.

Η USIP υπογράφει συμφωνία με την IMMAF 📝 – Αμπού Ντάμπι, 24 Ιουλίου

Ο Πρόεδρος της Διεθνούς Ένωσης Αστυνομικών Αθλημάτων (USIP), Υποστράτηγος Mohamed Al Daheri, υπέγραψε συμφωνία συνεργασίας με τη Διεθνή Ομοσπονδία Μικτών Πολεμικών Τεχνών (IMMAF), η οποία εκπροσωπήθηκε από τον Πρόεδρό της, Kerrith Brown.

Αυτή η συμφωνία θέτει τα θεμέλια για μια στρατηγική συνεργασία μεταξύ των δύο οργανισμών, με στόχο την προώθηση του αθλήματος των μικτών πολεμικών τεχνών στις αστυνομικές δυνάμεις παγκοσμίως. Επιτεύχθηκαν σημαντικές συμφωνίες για την εξερεύνηση μελλοντικής συνεργασίας. Στη διαδικασία αυτή παρευρέθηκαν επίσης ο Στρατηγός Gonzalo Londoño, Γενικός Γραμματέας της USIP, και ο Δρ. Andrew Moshanov, Διευθυντής Ανάπτυξης της IMMAF.

IMMAF Youth World Championships Update 🇨🇾

Today, Georgios Michael proudly represented Cyprus at the IMMAF Youth World Championships, showing determination and grit across two matches.

In his first fight, he faced a tough opponent from Team Poland and lost via submission.

He came back strong in his second bout, securing a unanimous decision victory against Team Armenia. 💪

Unfortunately, despite the win, Georgios did not advance to the elimination rounds. Still, his performance demonstrated skill, heart, and growth on the international stage. We’re proud of his effort and the way he carried the Cyprus flag. 🇨🇾

IMMAF Youth World Championships Update 🇨🇾

Today, our athlete Marinos Demitriou proudly represented Cyprus at the IMMAF Youth World Championships. He delivered strong performances against athletes from Team Mexico and Team Kazakhstan, showing great determination and technical skill.

Although both matches ended in decision losses, Marinos gained valuable experience on the international stage. We are proud of his effort and the way he carried our flag. 🇨🇾

🔜 Tomorrow, Demitris Masarani will take the stage to represent Cyprus. Let’s all send him our full support as he steps into the cage!

Christos Stylli competed today in the IMMAF Youth World Championships, delivering an impressive performance. He secured a unanimous decision victory against a tough opponent from Team Georgia in his opening bout. Unfortunately, he was submitted in his second fight by a skilled athlete from Team Tajikistan.

Congratulations to Christos for a great performance and for proudly representing his Country on the world stage!

Tomorrow, Marinos Demitriou will step into the cage to represent Cyprus. We wish him the best of luck in his matches!
