CYFOS - Cyprus Foundation of the Sea The Cyprus Foundation of the Sea was established on the 15th of October 2019.

The Cyprus Foundation of the Sea was established from an initiative of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, in close co-operation with several stakeholders of the Maritime and Marine Community in Cyprus and it is supported by the Shipping Deputy Ministry and the Cyprus Government in general. The Foundation acts as a Cluster Organization facilitating networking and dialogue among the 4-helix actors on the

island and the region; and providing guidance and support as to the type of research, education, and training required in order to achieve a Sustainable Blue Economy.

Established in 2018, CyFoS brings together Cyprus’s Blue Economy ecosystem, connecting industry, academia, research institutions and public stakeholders to foster collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth across maritime sectors.

By promoting partnerships and supporting initiatives that advance a sustainable and resilient Blue Economy, CyFoS contributes to shaping a future where coastal cities and marine resources thrive together.
