At The Story Farms in Somerset, UK, Luke Hasell is working towards a 1,000-year vision to regenerate millions of hectares by farming in harmony with nature.
After his father’s passing in 2003, Luke left a career in civil engineering in London to return to the fields of his childhood. Facing soil exhausted by decades of industrial agriculture, he made a radical choice.
Over two decades later, Luke’s journey has grown from organic production into a much bigger vision for ecological renewal.
But Luke knows that a vision of this scale cannot be achieved by one farmer alone.
For him, regeneration is about collaboration, building a community and a movement of people who believe in regenerative stewardship.
That belief is also what brought Luke to apply for Top 50 Farmers.
