CAN YOU HELP!
We need someone to help clean the dog compounds at the centre. If you like dogs, are not shy of doing physical work and prepared to get a bit grubby, then we would love to hear from you. Full training will be given.
Transport is available from west of Girne, with various pick-up points on the way to the centre in Arapkoy. It will be an early start at the moment because of the heat and work starts at 7am. So pick-ups, depending on where you live, will be around 6am.

DOES ANY ONE RECOGNISE THIS DOG?
We have just received this message from someone in south Cyprus.

FOUND DOG – KAMPOS / KATO PYRGOS / ORKONTA
This friendly dog was found alone in the forest area of Kampos, below Kato Pyrgos, towards Orkonta, in the Republic of Cyprus.
He is very friendly and seems to be used to people. We are trying to find his owner. He is microchipped but it hasn't been registered.

Because the area is close to the buffer zone, we believe he may have come from the northern part of Cyprus.

There's lots of clothes for sale to choose from at our shop in Ozankoy, here's just a small selection of summer dresses. Details of size and price are alongside each photo.
We also have men's, children's, ladies clothes plus a selection of shoes, handbags, jewellery and much, much more.
The shop is open from 9.30am to 1pm Monday to Saturday and they're situated on the main road in Ozankoy (in the Beydola building). Come and get yourself a bargain!

This lovely girl is Maple. She came into our rescue centre from our friends at Street souls, Northern Cyprus after being attacked by some other dogs on the street.

You can see from the photos just how badly she was bitten. It's taken about 6 weeks of treatment but today it looks much better, the last photo shows the wounds healing after care and treatment by our wonderful staff and volunteers at the rescue centre.

Maple as you can see looks much happier now that she is healing and pain free. This is a perfect example of two local animal welfare groups working together for the dogs that don't have a home to call their own.

This poor male cat came to us with a horrific, maggot infested neck wound - one of the worst we've seen. After two months of cleaning, treatment and antibiotics at our Rescue Centre he has healed beautifully. He's now neutered and safely back in his colony. The first 3 photos show his injuries before treatment and the other 3 were taken after he received care and medication at the Rescue Centre.
Neutering male cats is vital. Unneutered males fight, and fights can lead to life threatening injuries like his.
Creditwest Bank supported this cats treatment, we are truly gratefully for their ongoing help.
When we get calls like this, we need to act quickly, cats move around and finding them often takes repeated visits. We rely on volunteers to help us catch and transport cats for treatment and neutering. The more volunteers we have - the quicker we can respond, and the more suffering we can relieve.

A huge Thank you goes to KADS today for their generous donation of 20,000tl at the Sunset Market 🌅 💫

A specific request from one donor was for 2,000tl to be put towards street animal neutering. That leaves a much appreciated amount for the dogs and cats at our rescue centre
