What it means to be a military child.. 💛💜

There are an estimated 121,600 service children in the UK and every year thousands say goodbye to someone they love as they leave for deployment with some lasting days, weeks or months.

Being a military child is living with not knowing when mum, dad or caregiver will return home, it's dodgy wifi catch ups and milestones missed, but it's more than that — it’s a sense of pride in their loved one's job, it’s having friends from around the world and making new ones all the time. It’s surprise visits, it's community, it's belonging.

Being a military child means so many different things to so many children.

To honour Month of the Military Child, we asked children from across the UK, Cyprus and Brunei a few questions about what it means to them...
