Το ΙΕΕΕ (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Ινστιτούτο Ηλεκτρολόγων και Ηλεκτρονικών Mηχανικών) είναι ο μεγαλύτερος τεχνολογικός μη κερδοσκοπικός οργανισμός παγκοσμίως.
Ιδρύθηκε το 1884 από καινοτόμους μηχανικούς της εποχής, μεταξύ των οποίων οι Alexander Graham Bell και Thomas Edison.
Σκοπός του είναι η προώθηση της επιστήμης και της τεχνολογικής καινοτομίας σε τομείς όπως της Μηχ

ανικής, των Τηλεπικοινωνιών, της Πληροφορικής και της Ενέργειας με στόχο την τεχνολογική ανάπτυξη και την κοινωνική ευημερία που προκύπτει από αυτήν.
Ακόμα στοχεύει στην ενίσχυση των μελών του με γνωστικά και επαγγελματικά εφόδια ώστε να ηγηθούν σε όλους τους τεχνολογικούς τομείς.
Σήμερα το ΙΕΕΕ αποτελεί τον σημαντικότερο επιστημονικό οργανισμό στο χώρο των νέων τεχνολογιών, δημοσιεύοντας τον πλέον έγκυρο τεχνικό τύπο και ορίζοντας τις εξελίξεις σε όλους τους τεχνολογικούς τομείς.
'Εχει χωρίσει το γεωγραφικό χάρτη σε 10 Regions. Η Κύπρος ανήκει στο Region 8.

🚀 We are excited to invite you to the seminar organized by the IEEE University of Cyprus Student Branch in collaboration with the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society Cyprus Chapter, titled:

"Autonomous Vehicles A.I. School" on Wednesday, October 23. 🗓️

The seminar will cover topics related to artificial intelligence 🤖 with applications in drones 🚁 and autonomous vehicles 🚗, aimed at both undergraduate and graduate students 🎓.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with computer vision 👁️‍🗨️ and AI techniques under the guidance of experienced instructors with extensive backgrounds in these fields.

The PHAETHON-Centre of Excellence proudly announces the launch for Call for Papers [CfP] for the 3rd International Conference on Energy Transition in the Mediterranean Area (SyNERGY MED 2024), which is being organised by the Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου | University Of Cyprus through the PHAETHON-Centre of Excellence.

The 2024 edition, which will take place between 21-23 October 2024, in Limassol, Cyprus, will substantively build upon the previous two conferences, with the support of the Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης | Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), the University of Western Macedonia - Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας, the Università degli Studi di Cagliari, and the IEEE University of Cyprus Student Branch, as well as technical sponsorship from the IEEE Power & Energy Society.

Moreover, the leading journals "Renewable Energy" and "Sustainable Energy Grids and Networks" will further reinforce the scientific quality through dedicated Special Issues to the Conference.

👉 The submission system for SyNERGY MED 2024 is now open, with prospective authors invited to submit a Full Paper, ranging between 3 to 5 pages, until 29 April 2024.
