Kids for Corals is an exciting, fun and adventurous snorkeling learning program based on marine life education on Curacao for young school children aged between 8-12 years This program has been specially designed and set-up for children from disadvantaged neighborhoods and is being offered completely free of charge to the participating schools with the help of sponsors and volunteers. This fun edu
cational program is set-up and run by dedicated volunteers, teaching the children the safe way to snorkel and to educate about the marine life and it's challenges on the island and to help create the next generation of leaders and volunteers for future nature conservancy on Curacao. Kids for Corals is always looking for volunteers to buddy with the children in our snorkeling program
Kids For Corals was started as an educational program for the young generation, under the umbrella of ReefCare Curacao, a Foundation for conservation and protection of marine ecosystems, in particular coral reefs and has been sponsored from its first course over 25 years ago by Citco. The snorkel program consists of an information afternoon with slideshows and and a Q&A session, 4 hands-on snorkeling mornings at different beaches around the island, where Kids For Corals supplies all snorkeling material needed and arranges for bus transportation from school to the different beaches and back to school, a drink and a snack is also included.
