With the passing of Sokrat Manchev, the community and civil society lost a dedicated advocate for social justice. Sokrat was a member of organization HOPS, Skopje, North Macedonia and worked tirelessly for humane drug policies, support, and inclusion instead of marginalization and punishment.
His knowledge, commitment, and humanity will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege to work with him.
Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
Rest in peace, Sokrat.

Ker spremembe ne nastajajo v izolaciji. Nastajajo v sodelovanju.

V Zvezi smo zato skupaj s številnimi organizacijami podpisali poziv za bolj vključujoče socialne politike in ustreznejšo obravnavo marginaliziranih skupin v Ljubljani.

Poziv predlaga konkretne ukrepe:
→ več nizkopražnih centrov po mestu
→ prostori za varnejšo uporabo drog brez represije
→ več nastanitvenih možnosti in kriznih kapacitet
→ razpršitev storitev po mestu
→ več dostopa do zdravljenja in rehabilitacije
→ krepitev terenskega dela

Ključno sporočilo je preprosto: brez sistemskih, usklajenih in dolgoročnih rešitev se bo situacija samo še slabšala.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

It’s a time to remind ourselves—and each other—that mental health matters just as much as physical health.

Let’s break the stigma, speak openly, and create spaces where people feel safe to share, seek help, and be heard.

You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t have to go through things alone.
Check in on yourself.
Check in on others.

Kindness, understanding, and a simple conversation can make a real difference.

🌍 The rules for the next pandemic response are being negotiated right now.
The WHO Pandemic Agreement was adopted in 2025—but it cannot move forward until the Pathogen Access and Benefit-Sharing (PABS) Annex is finalized.
Through our campaign EU: Stop Blocking Health Equity, we are calling on European leaders to support binding equity provisions so that vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments are shared fairly in future global health emergencies.
What is decided now will shape pandemic response for a generation.
