Today, we discussed an issue that directly affects Albanian youth in the Preševo Valley – equal opportunities for employment in public institutions, including the police and fire service.
As a youth organisation, we believe that every young person should have an equal opportunity to apply and be evaluated based on their abilities and merit, regardless of ethnic background.
One of the challenges raised is also knowledge of the Serbian language. It is important to acknowledge the reality that some Albanian young people do not speak Serbian at the required level. However, this should not simply become a barrier – institutions should provide more opportunities to learn and improve language skills through courses, training and practical experience.
Integration is not built by closing doors, but by creating opportunities.
As Youth Trails, we will continue to support young people, equality, non-discrimination and their active participation in society. 🤝

Youth Trails is participating in training "𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲."
During this two-day training, we are strengthening our knowledge of migration, human rights, and the protection of vulnerable groups while exchanging experiences with civil society organisations from across Serbia.
As an organisation, Youth Trails is committed to empowering young people, promoting human rights & European values, and encouraging active citizenship in our local community through education, volunteering, and community engagement.

The training is organised by ASTRA – Anti Trafficking Action, supported by the Azil u Srbiji Asylum in Serbia - Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila and European Union. 🇪🇺🤝

Representing Youth Trails at the Novi Pazar Youth Summit 2026. Three inspiring days of dialogue, workshops, and youth-led action for democracy, human rights, media freedom, and reconciliation across the Western Balkans. Together, young voices create change. 💙🌍

Zajedno sa EU Delegacijom i u saradnji sa našim partnerima Dituria, ARC, Budi aktivan 16, Youth trails, Democratic Institute Mosaik, Drejtoria për Inkluzion, na jugu Srbije pratimo rad Komesarijata za izbeglice i migracije, funkcionisanje kampova, unapređujemo sistem prihvata i gradimo potencijal za bolji odnos prema migrantima.
Vrlo brzo ćemo krenuti sa realizacijom prvih sub-grantova lokalnim organizacijama za rad u oblasti migracija.

Ova aktivnost je realizovana u okviru projekta “Jačanje odgovora Srbije na izazove migracija i inkluzije” koji finansira Evropska unija, a koji zajednički realizuju Klara i Rosa, Volonterski Centar Vojvodine, Dituria i Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila.
