🌿 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗱𝗲. 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄
Every year on International Women’s Day, women are celebrated with flowers and symbolic gestures. While these expressions are meaningful, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 something more lasting: 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. 🌼🏵🌷
Across the Western Balkans and beyond, 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀. At the same time, the green transition is opening new opportunities in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, and climate innovation.
But how to close the gap without the data? 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿-𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 makes it difficult to understand where the gaps are and how to close them.
Through GBWN’s watchdog initiatives, 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 and green investments are spent, ensuring they benefit communities equitably 🍃 From energy to transport and agriculture, gender-responsive climate finance helps build stronger, more resilient societies...
This year's International Women's Day 2026 theme 'Give To Gain' encourages us to come back to 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where everyone can thrive every day!
