‼️Ključne činjenice:‼️

Studenti su vođeni pravom slobode mišljenja i izražavanja, a u svetlu borbe za pravedno društvo, iskazali bunt usmeren protiv nepravilnog funkcionisanja državnih institucija, samim tim i urušavanja demokratskih vrednosti, na šta imaju ustavom garantovano pravo!
Targetiranjem studenata ozbiljno se ugrožava njihova privatnost, bezbednost i dostojanstvo. Ova praksa može dovesti do društvene stigmatizacije, pa čak i nasilja, čime se narušavaju njihova osnovna ljudska prava i dodatno suzbijaju sloboda govora i pravo na mirno izražavanje stavova.

Apelujemo na sve nadležne institucije da stanu u zaštitu studenata. Posebno pozivamo nadležno tužilaštvo da reaguje po službenoj dužnosti i ispita sva lica za koja se sumnja da su učestvovala u kreiranju materijala koji targetiraju studente, kao i u njihovom deljenju po društvenim mrežama.

Pozivamo rukovodstva fakulteta da stanu iza svojih studenata, pruže im neophodnu zaštitu i najoštrije javno osude napade, targetiranje i zastrašivanje svojih studenata.

Apelujemo na međunarodne studentske i omladinske organizacije u Srbiji da vodeći se načelima slobode mišljenja i izražavanja, kao i podrške demokratskim načelima, osude sve napade na studente (uključujući i svoje članove) i pozovu nadležne institucije da reaguju. Pored toga, pozivamo pomenute organizacije da se obrate svojim međunarodnim telima i zatraže podršku za studente u Srbiji koji se bore za principe vladavine prava na kojima se svaka od ovih organizacija bazira.

In the morning hours of Friday, 20th of December, a tragedy happened in one of elementary schools in Zagreb, when a 19 years old male entered the school, and attacked several school students and personel with a knife. This resulted in the death of a 7 years old child, and 7 others injured, however, luckily, not in vital danger.
AEGEE- Novi Sad stands with Zagreb during this difficult ttime, and sends condolences and support to the affected families.
In these times heavy enough for our region, we must stand together and share our love, kindness and courage to endure this difficult time.

U petak, 20.12.2024. godine, u toku jutarnjih časova, u jednoj od zagrebačkih osnovnih škola desila se tragedija. Devetnaestogodišnji muškarac ušao je u školu i sa nožem napao učenike i osoblje, koje je bilo prisutno na hodnicima. Usled ovog nasilnog čina, sedmogodišnje dete je izgubilo život, dok je još 7 osoba povredjeno, ali srećom van životne opasnosti.
Kao svedoci nesreće koja je zadesila i naš grad, razumemo i saosećamo se sa tugom Zagreba.
AEGEE- Novi Sad izražava saučešće i šaljemo podršku svim pogodjenim porodicama.
U ovom strašnom periodu koji je zadesio naš region, moramo se držati zajedno, i slati poruke podrške, hrabrosti i ljubaznosti jedni drugima, kako bismo mogli da ga prebrodimo.

[OFFICAL STATEMENT]
Dear AEGEE-ans,
As part of the organisation that values youth activism, we want to adress the current situation happening in Serbia.
Since 1st of November, when the roof of the train station in Novi Sad had collapsed, no one was claimed responsible for the unfortunate death of 15 people.
Students all around Serbia have started physical 24/7 blockades of their faculties and there are no lectures and exams happening while the blockade lasts, in order to show compassion with the families of the lost ones,
As of tomorrow, out of 64 faculties in Serbia in total, almost 40 are blocked and closed. Students demand:
1. Justice for victims
2. Documents about reconstruction of the train station in Novi Sad being exposed publicly
3. Releasing all the innocent activists and students in prison who are arrested during previous protests.
4. Prosecution of the people who where violent against activits and students.
Our members are joining the blockades along with numerous students and we are proud of every single student investing time and effort in the blockades.
It is important to spread the word, because the media is potraying the situation differently, stating that we have only 100-200 people involved, when in reality its thousands of students all around Serbia, as well as in our dear city, Novi Sad.

Thanks to everyone who helps our students very much in need of it.
We are all united in a fight for justice and responsibilty.

[OFFICIAL STATEMENT]

On 1st November, the roof of Novi Sad railway station collapsed, which resulted in death of 14 people and 3 heavily injured ones. We are deeply devastated and mourn the loss of these innocent people along with their families. We express our deepest condolences.

We demand the truth being revealed and the responsibility being taken for this tragedy. With this post, we want to spread awareness and express our support for families affected.

The days of grievance in Novi Sad where declared from 2nd to 4th of November. May those who have lost their lives never be forgotten.

Prvog novembra, nadstrešnica Železničke stanice u Novom Sadu se obrušila, zbog čega je poginulo 14 ljudi a teško ranjeno troje. Mi, AEGEE- Novi Sad, smo duboko potrešeni ovim i tugujemo zajedno sa porodicama nastradalih. Izražavamo naše najdublje saučešće.

Zahtevamo da se iznese istina o okolnostima pod kojim se pad desio, te preuzme odgovornost onih koji su krivi. Ovom objavom želimo da skrenemo pažnju i izrazimo podršku porodicama preminulih.

Dani žalosti proglašeni su u Novom Sadu, od 2. do 4. novembra. Ne smemo i nećemo zaboraviti žrtve ove tragedije.
