📌 Zlatko Jovanović — Professional Basketball Coach & Former International bball player..
Beyond professional coaching, Zlatko is the founder of the international basketball camp Basket Friends, held annually in Novi Bečej since 2017, dedicated to developing young talents from the region and abroad.
From Novi Bečej to arenas across Europe and Asia, Zlatko Jovanović built a 20-year playing career as a dynamic point guard known for leadership, toughness, and passion for the game. He played in 7 countries — Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, France, Iran, Slovakia, and Montenegro — and left a strong mark in each stop. His most notable years came with BC Timișoara in Romania, where he became one of the club’s key players. He also represented the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After retiring in 2020, Zlatko transitioned into coaching, bringing his experience and basketball IQ to the next generation. He began working with youth programs in Budapest before taking over as head coach of BC Komárno (Slovakia). In 2023, he became the head coach of Budapesti Honvéd SE, where he led the club to its first playoff appearance in 26 years — a milestone that earned him widespread respect.
