Association for the Protection of Animals MOJ PAS (translated MY DOG ) Cacak Serbia, a non-profit organization created solely to promote the rights and protection of animals. Already 6 years we are fighting for the welfare of animals through various actions. Stray dogs are a serious communal and security problem in Serbia, it is estimated that the total number of stray dogs in the country is tens
of thousands. In Serbia, 80 percent of stray dogs make animals that were left by owners. Irresponsible ownership is one of the main causes of the continuous growth rate of the population of abandoned animals, because they usually let unwanted dogs on the street where creates the conditions for an unwanted mating with street dogs. Munificence is the willingness to share what we have with others. The project that we want to accomplish is primarily to educate the population about the welfare of animals, how important is the sterilization of dogs and above all to protect the animals. Our goals:
1.We want to educate the local population more and instill in them how important it is to spay and neuter.
2. Very important is adoption of dogs in country and abroad
3. We want to shot another movie that spoke of sterilization and castration of dogs and publicly show the people why this is and how well the process is for our society can bring welfare, as well as how important it is for dogs
4. We have created conditions to be able to accept a larger number of dogs from the whole territory of Serbia
5. We want to make an educational center where dog lovers came to us and were educated about the way in which to communicating with the dogs. We would go into schools to educate young people and lecture them on dog care and responsible dog ownership.
6. Cooperation with institutions of socialization, such as:
institutions for children with special needs, where children will have the opportunity to make contact with an animal: playing, nurturing animal. It has been shown that many people with disabilities successfully progressed (level of thinking and behavior are changed in a positive sense) after spending time with animals, institutions for the blind, deaf and mute person, this includes training dogs for guiding the blind, where the dogs are abandoned train and then donate the blind, institutions for juvenile delinquency , correctional homes, where they will go through the development of special sensitivity and humanity with juvenile offenders, because it is also proved that the offenders in adolescence abused, tortured and killed animals, so that the necessary work of juvenile offenders in terms rapprochement of a child with an animal, awakening sense of tenderness, responsibility,
introduction of animals in the social program will be used extensively in education, rapprochement child or an adult man with an animal because it is a big step in helping people who have health ( mental and physical) problems.
