U deceniji koja nije naklonjena kulturi i umetnosti, reprezentativni međunarodni festivali u Srbiji i njihovi organizatori udružili su se u SEFA 2011. godine, želeći da sinergijom svojih pojedinačnih autoriteta i kvaliteta skrenu pažnju na značaj festivala i stvore novu moćnu kreativnu i produkcionu polugu u dijalogu sa osnivačima, finansijerima, sponzorima... Da započnu novu bitku za bolju društv
enu, kulturološku i infrastrukturnu poziciju festivala i zapaženiji status kulture i umetnosti uopšte. Na tom mostu i putu, do danas je opstalo 7 festivala članica SEFA, koji podjednako delotvorno i argumentovano vode i evropsku politiku srpskih festivala - kako u okviru Evropske asocijacije festivala - EFA, tako i okviru festivalske platforme umrežavanja i vidljivosti u internacionalnim okvirima "Evropa festivalima - festivali Evropi" - EFFE. godine i uporni da opstanu i traju.

In the decade that is not inclined to culture and art, representative international festivals in Serbia and their organisers have associated into SEFA in 2011 wishing to draw the attention to the significance of festivals and create a new powerful creative and production lever in the dialogue with the founders, investors, sponsors, etc. through the synergy of their individual authorities and qualities. To wage a new battle for better social, culturological and infrastructural position of festivals and more prominent status of culture and art in general. On that bridge and on that road, seven SEFA member festivals have survived until today and they pursue the European policy of Serbian festivals in equally efficient way supported by arguments – both within the EFA and within the festival platform of networking and visibility in international frameworks – EFFE. They have been mapped by being granted the EFFE Label in 2015 and they are determined and persistent to survive and last.
