👉 How do student protests shape our society? In what ways do the legacy of the Yugoslav wars and contemporary international conflicts influence today’s social and political reality? What are the biggest challenges faced by citizens and civil society? And how are global political changes shaping democratic processes?

☀️ These were some of the questions discussed during last week’s visit of students and faculty members from the Utah University from the United States.

⭐️ Thank you for your openness and for an important exchange of perspectives. 🙌

“From the adopted amendments to the most critical judicial laws—from which the public was completely excluded—to the proposed changes to the Law on Public Order and Peace aimed at restricting freedom of expression online, and the potential introduction of a 'Foreign Agents' Law, these measures are directed toward limiting long-contested civil liberties.”

“We are entering a phase of the legalization of repression that most directly affects all citizens and leads to a further erosion of institutional protection and the rule of law. In decision-making processes, organizations, experts, and the public at large remain entirely excluded; thus, transparency and inclusivity in such processes are non-existent.”
