✨ Our drypoint printmaking workshop offered a deep dive into the technique’s rich history and its signature velvety lines 🖋️➿✨. Participants explored the fascinating differences between engraving and etching 🏷️✒️, drew inspiration from master printmakers across centuries 📜👀, and created their own expressive handmade graphics! ✏️🌀🖼️

We want to extend our gratitude to Sveta from NOWADAYS | Art Workshops Belgrade 🪵👋🏼, for leading this wonderful workshop today and to our member Ksenia for introducing us to the drypoint world! 🫂✨

Still buzzing from the incredible energy of our final Nutrition & Stress Management for Metabolic Health workshop! 🌿🍲✨

A beautiful morning full of cooking, chatting, and resetting:

🍳 Prepared a delicious, blood-sugar-friendly breakfast to stop glucose spikes in their tracks. 🥒🍋🍒

🌱 Mastered easy, actionable dietary strategies for long-term metabolic health. 🔥

🧘‍♀️ Practiced concrete, immediate stress-release tools for the nervous system. 😮‍💨

✨ Today, our SWAG team coordinator Katarina Silevski together with our president Andrea Pavukova and our Vice-president Daniela Flury, visited Prihvatilište za decu Beograda to deliver a donation of sports equipment collected through the generosity of our IWC members and supporters. ⚽🏀🎾

🤝 We were warmly welcomed by Danijela Stajković, Head of the Prihvatilište, and Jelena Vajagić, Social Work Coordinator, who shared valuable insights into the important work their team does every day to support children in their care.

💙 Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who contributed to this SWAG initiative. Your generosity continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and youth in our community.

🎾 The sports equipment you donated will help encourage physical activity, teamwork, and play, giving children and youth more opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun through sport.

Closing out the hiking season in the best possible way! 🥾🌲

We headed to Divčibare for a beautiful 9km loop, starting strong at 950m of elevation. Our trail took us up to Crni Vrh (1096m) and then over to Velika Pleća (1025m), which treated us to some absolutely stunning, panoramic views. ⛰️✨
The entire path was a dream - sunny, surrounded by pine trees, and walking through vibrant, colorful patches of wildflowers. 🌸☀️ We eventually wound our way down through the forest to Vražji Vir for a perfect picnic break, before wrapping up the day at the bottom of the Divčibare Ski Resort.
And yes, those cold drinks at the finish line tasted amazing. 🍻

☕️🇺🇸🌟 Our season finale COFFEE MORNING took place today at the beautiful US Ambassador’s Residence! 🏰🇺🇸

We were warmly hosted by our dear member Yinnet Titolo, spouse of the chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy in Belgrade. 💖✨ A huge thank you to our wonderful host and all the ladies who attended! 👩‍🦰👩🏽‍🦳👩🏻

Thank you all for your incredible support for the SWAG initiative. Together, we collected and donated sports equipment to underprivileged children and youth in Belgrade! 🏀🎾👧🏽👦🏻

Today was also filled with bittersweet moments as we said farewell to the members leaving us this summer. 🌸✈️ You will be dearly missed, and we wish you all the very best on your next chapters! 🗺️❤️

Last bit not least, we want to wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer break! ☀️🏖️🍉

✨ Creativity blooms, one more Creative Art workshop, when women come together to inspire, create, and connect. 🌸
At the IWC Creative Art Workshop, our participants transformed fine leather into elegant handmade flower earrings — each pair reflecting individuality, imagination, and artistry. 💫
From cutting petals to assembling delicate details, every step became a moment of joy, conversation, and creative expression.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared this beautiful experience. We can’t wait to see your unique creations shine! 💜

In late May we read The Names by Florence Knapp 📚✨, an alternately heartbreaking and hopeful novel that was universally praised by our members.

Spanning thirty-five years ⏳, the novel follows one family across three alternate versions of their lives, shaped by the choice of a child’s name. Checking in at seven-year intervals, the book explores autonomy, love, family ties 🤝, and the generational trauma of domestic violence.
✍️Written in precise and fluid prose, the story shows how a single decision or moment of courage can alter the course of many people’s lives. 🌎

Today we had the pleasure of discovering the vibrant world of Mexican heritage at the exhibition “Extraordinary Textiles: Mexico” at the Ethnographic Museum. 🌺

From intricate embroidery 🪡 to centuries-old weaving traditions 🧵every textile told a story of identity, artistry, and community. The exhibition features handcrafted works from Indigenous communities across Mexico, preserving ancestral knowledge through color, texture, and symbolism. 💫

Organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Mexico in Serbia 🇲🇽🇷🇸 the exhibition also celebrates 80 years of diplomatic relations between Mexico and Serbia 🤝creating a beautiful cultural bridge between the two countries. 🌍❤️

We are so thankful to the Embassy of Mexico ❤️the Ethnographic Museum 🏛️ for the exclusive guided visit, and our amazing former president Eun Hai Kim🌸 and Sonia Punin✨ for organizing this beautiful event! 💃🌮🍹

Mountains, history, and a whole lot of heart💚.
3 days, endless views, and the best company. ✨Last weekend, we took on Suva Planina and let southern Serbia completely steal our hearts. From the foggy, challenging ridge line up to Trem (1,810m) and Sokolov Kamen (1,523), to the gentle, sunny riverside paths of Sićevo Gorge, every step was a reminder of why we love the mountains. 🏔️
But it wasn’t just about the peaks! We soaked in the history at the 1908 “Sveta Petka” hydroelectric plant (still running!)💡, and at the Saint Petka ‘Ivirion’ Monastery, and rewound with local vineyards🍇 and the thermal waters of Niška Banja. A massive thank you to Konak Ramonda Serbica .ramondasicevo for the incredible hospitality, amazing food, and for making us feel right at home. We’re already planning our return! 🫶

✨🇩🇪 German Culinary Workshop🇩🇪✨

What a perfect way to wrap up a busy week! ❤️ We spent a beautiful afternoon filled with delicious food, laughter, learning, and wonderful company 👩‍🍳🌟

We are incredibly grateful to our dear member Sladi for inviting us into her beautiful, historic, and charming home and teaching us how to make traditional German Dampfnudeln: soft, fluffy, and absolutely delicious 🥟🍞😋!

From the savory version served with potato soup 🥔🍲 to the sweet one with vanilla sauce 🥟🍮, every bite was incredible 🪄.

We also enjoyed sparkling wine 🥂, juices 🍹, and classic butter pretzels 🧈🥨 during the reception, which added to the authentic and special atmosphere ✨.

Thank you, Sladi, for your warm hospitality and of course, special appreciation goes to Granny Theresia for the legendary recipe 👵🏼📜 and for clearly knowing that the secret ingredient is patience 🧘‍♀️😌 (and never opening the lid too early 🤫💨). You made us feel that anyone can do it, you just need the courage to try and let the dough rest and rise 😊💪🏻.

And of course, thank you to all the lovely ladies for the beautiful photos, joyful atmosphere, and unforgettable memories 📸✨.
