Hello everyone!
We're excited to announce another EA/AI Safety Community Retreat - a fun, inspiring weekend with Effective Altruism Serbia and EA clubs from neighboring countries. Same winning formula as last year: a beautiful natural setting, participant-driven sessions, and a close-knit community feel.
What to Expect:
An unofficial community event for anyone interested in EA: make new connections, join workshops, and enjoy a weekend away from everyday life. Program TBA, with AI safety as a central theme. You're welcome to host your own sessions!
Venue:
We're returning to Majkin Salaš near Lake Palić. Comfortable rooms, local cuisine, an outdoor pool, sports courts, horse stables, and orchards, just 2.5 km from the lake. Nearby: catamaran rides, wine tasting, tours of Palić and Subotica, and more.
Details:
Dates: August 7–9, 2026 (arrive on the 6th if you can!)
Cost: €150–200 per person (accommodation + all meals)
Spots: Limited! 15 rooms, first-come, first-served
Getting there: Train, bus, BlaBlaCar, or taxi
