20th Congress — 20 reasons to visit Belgrade!
📍 2/20: TEMPLE OF SAINT SAVA
One of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, the Temple of Saint Sava rises above Belgrade’s Vračar district as one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.
It was built on the site where the relics of Saint Sava were burned in 1595, giving it deep historical and symbolic meaning. Construction began in 1935, paused during World War II, and resumed decades later, making it a project that spans generations.
Its white stone exterior and golden dome create a powerful first impression, while the temple itself reflects a blend of history, faith, and architecture.
👉 Just minutes from the congress venue, it’s an essential stop for experiencing Belgrade.
👀 For now, we’re revealing only its exterior. Curious about what’s inside?
