Kada se kreativnost i solidarnost sretnu

Muhsin, naš volonter Evropske inicijative solidarnosti, imao je priliku da 20. i 21. juna podrži humanitarni štand ADRA Srbije na Afterlight Marketu u Beogradu.
Bilo je inspirativno videti kako se umetnost i solidarnost udružuju oko zajedničkog cilja. Posetioci nisu samo uživali u marketu već su, kroz Drumodrom program, podržali i ljude u situaciji beskućništva.

Zajedno smo prikupili 112.200 dinara, kao i osnovne potrepštine za one kojima su najpotrebnije.

„Ovo iskustvo me je podsetilo da humanitarna pomoć ne podrazumeva samo reagovanje u kriznim situacijama. Ona podrazumeva i povezivanje zajednice i stvaranje prilika da ljudi pomažu jedni drugima.”

Posebno zahvaljujemo timu Afterlight Marketa što je organizovao ovaj inspirativni događaj i podržao humanitarnu akciju prikupljanja sredstava ADRA Srbije. Okupljajući umetnike, posetioce i humanitarnu inicijativu, pokazali su da kreativnost može da ostvari značajan uticaj u društvu.

Hvala svakom umetniku, posetiocu i volonteru koji je doprineo da ova inicijativa bude ostvarena. 💙

When solidarity meets creativity.

Our ESC Humanitarian Aid volunteer, Muhsin, had the opportunity to support ADRA Serbia's humanitarian stand at Afterlight Market in Belgrade on 20–21 June.

It was inspiring to see art and solidarity come together for a common purpose. Visitors didn't just enjoy the market—they also supported people experiencing homelessness through ADRA Serbia's Drumodom programme.

Together, we raised 112,200 RSD and collected essential items for those who need them most.

"This experience reminded me that humanitarian aid is not only about responding to crises. It's also about bringing communities together and creating opportunities for people to help one another."

A special thank you to the Afterlight Market team for creating this inspiring event and supporting ADRA Serbia's humanitarian fundraising initiative. By bringing together artists, visitors, and humanitarian action, they showed how creativity can make a meaningful social impact.

From Novi Sad to Novi Pazar: Building a Culture of Solidarity

In Novi Sad, we visited Gimnazija Živorad Janković to introduce students to the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps. Our ESC Humanitarian Aid volunteer Muhsin, together with Sofia and Aneek, shared practical information and personal experiences from international projects.

We also joined the three-day "Humanitarian Volunteering for Solidarity Activities (HVSA)" gathering jointly organized with Merhamet Sandžak, Philanthropy, and EHO, where we exchanged good practices, explored Erasmus+ opportunities, and discussed how to strengthen volunteering and international cooperation.
The programme concluded with the EU Opportunities event, supported by EU Delegation to the Republic of Serbia and Europe House Novi Pazar, creating new connections and opening the door to future partnerships.

Strengthening Safeguarding in Humanitarian Action

As the new cycle of the Humanitarian Volunteering for Solidarity Activities (HVSA II) project begins, consortium members and volunteers gathered for the first Capacity Building Training (CBT), dedicated to strengthening safeguarding knowledge and practice across the partnership.

On 3 June 2026, ADRA Serbia hosted an online training on safeguarding in humanitarian work, bringing together participants from partner organizations to explore key topics such as safeguarding and protection, power dynamics, risk assessment, survivor-centered responses, reporting pathways, and organizational culture. Through practical scenarios, group discussions, and reflection exercises, participants strengthened their capacity to prevent harm, respond appropriately to concerns, and promote accountability in humanitarian settings.

This first CBT activity marks an important step in the HVSA II learning journey, supporting volunteers and staff in delivering humanitarian action that is safe, ethical, and centered on the dignity and well-being of the people and communities we serve.

Jačanje safeguarding-a u humanitarnom delovanju

Kako počinje novi ciklus projekta Humanitarno volontiranje za solidarne aktivnosti (HVSA II), članovi konzorcijuma i volonteri okupili su se na prvom treningu za podizanje kapaciteta organizacija i zaposlenih, posvećenom unapređenju znanja i prakse u oblasti safeguarding-a.

ADRA Srbija je 3. juna 2026. godine organizovala onlajn trening o safeguarding-u u humanitarnom radu, okupivši učesnike partnerskih organizacija kako bi zajedno razmatrali ključne teme kao što su safeguarding i zaštita, dinamike moći, procena rizika, pristupi usmereni na osobe koje su preživele nasilje ili kojima je načinjena šteta, mehanizmi prijavljivanja i organizaciona kultura. Kroz praktične scenarije, grupne diskusije i vežbe, učesnici su ojačali svoje kapacitete za sprečavanje štete, odgovarajuće reagovanje na prigovore i zabrinutosti, što organizacijama pomaže da poboljšaju svoju odgovornost koju imaju prema ljudima zajednicama kojima služe.

Ovaj prvi trening je važan korak u procesu učenja u okviru projekta HVSA II, koji pomaže volonterima i zaposlenima da sprovode humanitarne aktivnosti na bezbedan, etičan način usmeren na dostojanstvo i dobrobit ljudi i zajednica kojima služimo.

📝 Welcome, Aneek Das 🇮🇳

From India to Italy, and now to Serbia — Aneek joins ADRA Serbia as an ESC Humanitarian Aid Volunteer.

In his role, Aneek will support our humanitarian operations by contributing to logistics, distribution activities, and community engagement. His tasks include assisting in the organization of donations and aid supplies, supporting distribution days, and contributing to outreach with local partners and socially responsible businesses.

Connecting organizations with European opportunities.

Our ESC Humanitarian Aid volunteer Muhsin Şen met with representatives of the Merhamet Sandžak - Oficijelna stranica and Човекољубље - Philanthropy in Serbia to introduce the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.

The discussion focused on how these programmes can empower young people through volunteering, training, and international cooperation.

The organisations are currently collaborating in the “Humanitarian Volunteering for Solidarity Activities” project, funded by the European Commission 🇪🇺 .
