Today, as we celebrate our 23rd birthday, we are taking a moment to look back at a year filled with conferences, teacher training, international cooperation, and many reasons to be proud. 🎂✨
Over the past year, we organised our 24th International Conference, bringing together a few hundred participants, inspiring plenary speakers, and dozens of workshops. We also secured accreditation for two new professional development seminars, continuing our commitment to high quality teacher education.
The year was also shaped by important projects and partnerships. We continued our work through the EVE: Equal Voices in ELT in the ELT Mentorship Programme, supported Access Serbia activities in Čačak, Zaječar, Kruševac, and Belgrade for 100 students, and received support from the Regional English Language Office Belgrade for 30 teachers to attend the conference, including colleagues from Serbia and the wider region. 🌍
In cooperation with the British Council Serbia, we delivered training in 15 cities, reaching 127 teachers with the support of 15 teacher trainers. Our CLIL training with Phil Ball also brought together teachers from several countries through sessions in Kragujevac and Belgrade.
Our international work continued through the Freedom 250 project, supported by the U.S. Embassy Belgrade and RELO, which includes 30 teachers from 7 countries and regions, as well as through Erasmus+ activities, including the approved Digital Empathy project and the successfully completed Emotionally Healthy Classroom K1 project. 💡
This year also strengthened our international presence, with 17 representatives taking part in 16 international events, while our cooperation with partners such as SOL - Sharing One Language continued to support professional exchange and regional collaboration.
It has been a year of growth, bridges, learning, and shared energy. In other words, exactly the kind of year that reminds us why professional communities matter. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every member, partner, colleague, and friend who has been part of our journey. Your support, participation, and contributions have helped make ELTA the thriving community it is today. 🙏
Here’s to many more years of connecting teachers, ideas, and classrooms. 💙📚🌍
