We're honored to welcome Raymie Stata to NICON 2026!

Raymie earned his PhD in Computer Science from MIT and has spent his career building technology at the intersection of search, big data, and distributed systems. He founded Stata Labs, an early pioneer in desktop search that was acquired by Yahoo!, where he rose to CTO and helped shape the Hadoop ecosystem. He later founded Altiscale, one of the first Big-Data-as-a-Service platforms, acquired by SAP. After serving as Airbnb's first Technical Fellow, he is now focused on Viaduct, a project developed in close collaboration with Airbnb to advance GraphQL infrastructure.

Beyond his work in technology, Raymie's support has been instrumental in helping establish the Atlas Society International. We're grateful to have him with us in Porto!
