💚 Four volunteers. One mission. Eighty-eight lives touched.

On Sunday, 31 May 2026, four dedicated ACT Volunteers came together to prepare and deliver nutritious vegan meals for 88 people in need through The Way Ministry.

What makes this partnership so special is the warmth and kindness we receive from The Way Ministry team every single time. Their encouragement reminds us why community matters.

This week's message from them said it all:

A simple message, but one that reflects the power of volunteers, generosity, and shared humanity.

ACT South Africa supported several community initiatives over the past month, focusing on providing food, care, and essential supplies to learners and families in need.

At Foresthaven Secondary School, around 70 learners received a warm meal of potato curry and rice, bringing comfort and nourishment on a cold day. Northview Primary School also received meal support for learners, along with breakfast porridge and fresh fruit to help sustain daily nutrition.

In Palmview, Durban, grocery hampers and essential supplies were distributed to families facing hardship, helping provide basic household and food support during difficult times.

Across different communities, ACT SA volunteers and supporters also helped prepare and distribute over 290 meals, continuing ongoing efforts to bring care, dignity, and relief where it is most needed.

Wembley Project

ACT volunteers travelled from different locations to make this seva a success. Their dedication ensured that every aspect of the project was carried out smoothly, as initiatives like this involve many avenues of service and coordination.

The volunteers worked diligently to prepare a delicious pasta dish and fresh salad, followed by a yummy vegan cake and custard for dessert.

Guests also had the opportunity to collect essential items from the ACT Food Bank. It was heartening to see that everyone selected only the items they truly needed. Despite their circumstances, their thoughtful and contented approach was truly inspiring.

Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed and helped make this event possible. Your time, effort, and selfless service are deeply appreciated.

Together, we have made a meaningful difference in the lives of many.

Rashila Pankhania travelled to Skanda Vale last weekend along with a few other ACT volunteers to cook and help raise funds for the hospice. After cooking continuously from Saturday to Monday, she was again ready on Tuesday to cook for the Wembley Project (reel coming soon). And once again, on Wednesday, she joined the Windsor Homeless Project.

The only intention — to cook vegan food and serve selflessly with love and compassion.

ACT Foundation Sri Lanka helped restore sight and improve quality of life by supporting 20 cataract surgeries for patients from the Kilinochchi region. 💛

Patients were transported to Jaffna Teaching Hospital, where they received successful treatment and returned home with renewed vision and hope.

Our sincere thanks go to Dr. Ganaruban, Consultant Ophthalmologist, his dedicated medical team, and the hospital director for their invaluable support in making this initiative possible.

On Saturday, May 23rd, ACT Foundation USA - Cincinnati, Ohio team prepared and served 35 vegan meals at the Hope House Mission Women’s and Children Homeless Shelter in Middletown, Ohio.

The meal included:
- Vegetable Rice🍲
- Pasta🍝
- Kidney Beans Stew (Rajma)🫘
- Coleslaw Salad🥗
- Cut Watermelon🍉
- Fruit Punch and Mango Juice🥭🧃
